This is not the first time I’ve hired Matt. Once in 2017, he got 5 reckless felons off my record and expunged. We just hired Matt October of 2024 to terminate my ex husbands parental rights to allow my now husband to adopt my son!! I hired Matt Bolton in September of 2021 to represent me in my very first criminal charge at the age of 40. I had a very serious car accident which resulted in my car being totaled and severe injuries including a concussion. I wear glasses which were lost in the crash. I have never had a criminal... record and did not understand the implied consent law; I relied on JCPD to walk me through my rights. When the ambulance arrived, they told me I had signs of a concussion, severe airbag burns to my face and neck and asked if I wanted them to take me on to the hospital. My husband was on the way to the site, so I refused. I was given a sobriety test without my glasses and with a concussion. I could not walk in a straight line. I asked for a breathalyzer over and over. Instead, I was arrested and taken to jail. I was given a breathalyzer in jail and blew a 0.0. I was bonded out almost immediately but asked the officers when they were going to give me a drug test. They said they didn’t do that. And since I refused to leave in an ambulance, I waived that right. I was so naive to the laws. I thought it was all over since I proved I wasn’t drunk. Instead, I was charged with DUI. I immediately hired Matt Bolton. He walked me through the entire process. I was not convicted of DUI. And today my driving record is clean. Do NOT RELY ON THE POLICE TO ADVISE YOU OF ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR MIRANDA RIGHTS. This was my FIRST AND LAST experience with JCPD. It was a VERY UNFAIR, UNNECESSARY experience. But to have an attorney like Matt Bolton by my side through the entire process really opened my eyes. It is very easy for innocent people to get caught up in a mess that could potentially ruin your life. Do not look any further than Matt Bolton if you need criminal representation.
