A native of Memphis and a graduate of The Hutchison School, Ms. Arthur earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in 2000. After graduation, she served three years as a broker’s assistant to multiple senior investment executives at a national financial planning corporation before earning her Juris Doctorate degree in 2006 from The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Her accolades during law school include awards for Best Legal Memorandum and Best Appellate Brief. She also served as a member and published author on the University of Memphis Law Review.
For six consecutive years, from 2013-2018, Ms. Arthur was selected as a Rising Star in Family Law in the Mid-South by Super Lawyers. From 2020 through 2025, she has also been nominated and accepted as a Family Law Super Lawyer in the Mid-South area each year. In 2015, she was nominated and elected as a Barrister Member of the Leo Bearman, Sr. American Inn of Court. In 2017, she was selected and inducted as a Fellow into the Memphis Bar Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Memphis Bar Association that advocates public awareness of the legal system and encourages and recognizes professionalism among members of the Bar. Ms. Arthur completed a three-year term as a nominated and elected member of the Board of Directors for the Memphis Bar Association in 2018.
Since her admission to practice law in Tennessee in 2006, Ms. Arthur served three terms on the Memphis Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors from 2008-2010, three terms as a member of the steering committee for the Young Lawyers Section of the Memphis Area Legal Services Access to Justice Fundraising Campaign, as Vice-President of the Family Law Section of the Memphis Bar Association in 2014, and as President of the Family Law Section in 2015.
Ms. Arthur has served on many community boards and programs, including a three-year term as a member of the board of directors of the Downtown Memphis Commission (formerly the Center City Commission) for Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee (2010-2013). Ms. Arthur is a graduate of Leadership Memphis’s 2011 civic leadership class as well as a graduate of the Tennessee Bar Association’s 2012 Law Leadership Class. Ms. Arthur served on the planning committee for the Red Boa Ball, the annual fundraiser for the Memphis chapter of the American Red Cross, in 2022.
In 2025, after several years of both personal and professional consideration, Ms. Arthur moved to Nashville to be close to her family, as well as to establish and grow her boutique legal practice to serve the middle Tennessee area, which is experiencing significant growth, expanding population, and major business investment and development. She is a proud member of the American Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Nashville Bar Association, the Memphis Bar Association, and the Marion Griffin chapter of the Lawyers Association of Women of Nashville.
Outside the office, Megan values time with her family and enjoys the balance that comes from interests beyond the courtroom. She enjoys playing tennis and looks forward to returning to equestrian sport—particularly the hunter–jumper discipline—which has long been a meaningful and rewarding part of her life.
