Phenomenal Legal Representation

First off I’d like to start this review by saying that the legal representation and the moral support I received from Mr. Willard was beyond all my expectations and I could not be happier with his services. I was facing 2 false allegations for aggravated sexual contact while preparing for a deploymen...t with the national guard. I was facing a Field Grade Article 15 and Administrative Separation. After hiring Mr. Willard for my defense the entire composure of the prosecuting unit completely changed. Mr. Willard regularly contacted them pressing them for updates, keeping me informed throughout the entire process. The hesitation the JAG had going forward was palpable because they knew who he was and his reputation. He had an in depth answer for me for every question I could think of and was available every day to be reached for contact. He did in depth prep with me as often as I needed it and throughly went through my case asking me questions and built me a phenomenal defense that lead to me being found Not Guilty of all charges and speculations, with the administrative separation being dropped. Had I decided to take my chances with an appointed lawyer I firmly believe I would have been found guilty because they could never match the hours of work he put into my case and the tenacity to which he regularly got updates and routinely asked for more information while simultaneously keeping me informed of every action the JAG was taking. On top of all of that he kept it completely real, he never made ridiculous promises and guarantees that he knew he couldn’t keep. Even during my Article 15 hearing the brigade commander commended the defense packet as being the most thorough and well put together defense he had even seen. Even further when the prosecution was attempting to cut corners or create obstacles he called them out and ensured the process was done as was to be expected. Mr. Willard not only helped me to win my case, but in doing so he gave me my purpose and life back and I am eternally grateful. If you are seeking legal assistance and you come across Mr. Willard search no further, because you won’t find a more dedicated and qualified individual to help you.

Neck deep in water and came out dry with the help of Attorney Lawrence Willard II

I found myself staring trouble in the face when I found myself facing multiple charges of Abusive Sexual Contact and Sexual Assault. I emailed the Law Office of Matthew Barry and was greeted by a prompt phone call from Mr. Willard. From the start he was upfront and honest, and was prompt with all pho...ne calls and meetings. Mr. Willard was very helpful in getting all my charges dropped with a approved Chapter 6. If this had gone to trial I 100% feel we were fully prepared to win and be acquitted of all charges. I recommend Mr. Willard whole heartedly and with my full trust in him to help anyone that is dealing with any military predicament you are facing. 10/10

Outstanding

Mr Willard has been amazing from the beginning. He had his work cut out for my case, but from the beginning he was level headed and knew who to call to make moves. Mr Willard, had drawn interest in me and I got rid of my previous lawyer due to his better judgment. He started my case well before we ev...en discussed payment, and was flexible and understanding at all times. Mr Willard saved me from a very unfortunate situation, and fought hard at every hearing for me. He’s an aggressive go-getter lawyer that when you give him everything he ask you for, you know he’s going to fight tooth and nail in court. I never had to speak but a few times. I had my full life in his hands and trusted him with it, and I’m glad I did he saved my life and got me the results I wanted. Mr Willard is straight forward from the beginning, and will tell you all the possibilities depending on how far along you are in your court process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mr Willard to all soldiers. He stayed in contact with me even when he was many hours away, at another base with another hearing. A lot of the process is going to feel like that “Hurry up and wait” feeling, but when Mr Willard needs something get it! The faster you do the better your case will be. I honestly had no issues will Mr Willard, I had my TDS assigned lawyer. That Mr Willard had help and handle paperwork and anything Mr Willard felt comfortable willing to hand over. I assigned Mr Willard as my primary lawyer, and he got the job DONE!

Favorable result - He got the DASEB to transfer my DUI GOMOR to my restricted file

Mr. Willard was extremely professional, communicative, understanding to my specific case details, and most importantly got me a positive result! I hired Mr. Willard to file a request to get my permanently filed GOMOR for a DUI transferred to my restricted file through the DASEB. He was very forthc...oming and honest in explaining the entire process, in what it would require from me, what his specific services would include, and gave me realistic expectations of what the DASEB results would be in either case good or bad. He was also very understanding with delays from me as I waited on other people to respond back with letters of support. He never rushed me to make any decisions without giving me time to think about it or ask follow up questions. I really appreciated how he was not judgmental in regards to my DUI GOMOR, and made me feel like it was indeed possible to overcome a GOMOR and move forward from situations in the past. I am still amazed that around 24 months after receiving a permanently filed GOMOR I was able to get it transferred to my restricted file and receive a favorable positive result from the DASEB, and that's entirely thanks to the work Mr. Willard put in for me. I completely recommend him as an attorney and trust his experience.

A beacon of light in a time of lost hope

If I could give Mr. Willard (CPT Willard as I knew him) more than 5 stars, then I would! It may sound dramatic, but he really was a beacon of light for me when I had without a doubt lost all hope. When i met Mr. Willard, I was accused (falsely) of an article 120 offense in Fort Campbel...l, where he was serving as a TDS attorney. I foolishly did not retain a lawyer during my 8 month long investigation, because I thought that the military investigators would see that I was innocent. The SM accusing me was highly unreliable and I had two credible witnesses attesting to my innocence. I unfortunately found out that this is rarely to never the case. When I received information that i was potentially facing charges, I pursued legal advice services through Fort Campbell TDS and was assigned CPT Willard by chance. I am so grateful to this day that I was. For those of you who don’t know or have never experienced a day at TDS, the waiting room is almost always full and there is most likely a line around the building to consult with attorneys for legal advice. In addition to that, those attorneys are also working court martial cases. To say that they are over worked is an understatement. Despite that, CPT Willard ALWAYS made time for me and my legal needs whether it’s was by phone, email, or in person. After nearly a year of agony, I ultimately did not receive court martial, but I was recommended for a field grade article 15. Through no obligation on him, CPT Willard put in work interviewing witnesses, writing legal documents emphasizing the burden of proof, and helping me build my case to present during my article 15 hearing. He was 100% professional, timely, knowledgeable, courteous, and sympathetic to my situation. I can honestly say that he had and still has my full trust. Upon presenting my case in the article 15 hearing, with all the evidence i had and that CPT Willard helped me collect, the overall verdict was NOT GUILTY on ALL specifications. This type of outcome is EXTREMELY rare, especially in the military. If it weren’t for CPT Willard’s efforts in going above and beyond for me, I fear that the outcome would have been much different, and I would have lost my career, reputation, and livelihood because of a lie. Almost a year after my investigation and hearing was over, the CID “special agent” who was the lead on my case tried to threaten my command and I about retaining another DNA sample, I immediately contacted CPT Willard, and he intervened. Neither myself, nor my command was harassed by CID again. I am now, almost 3 years later, picking up the pieces and continuing my career as an NCO and in good standing. I know this wouldn’t be possible without Mr. Willard. As I stated before, I trust him completely. He is the type of military lawyer that ACTUALLY cares about the innocent, and wants to see justice prevail. If you are accused of or under investigation for any serious offense, please do not hesitate to take action and hire legal defense. As a service member, being under law enforcement investigation can be an extremely long, painful, and stressful process. I was lucky enough to have leadership that stood by me, but sadly that is not always the case. Hiring legal counsel can make an exponential difference in not only your outcome, but your experience while serving under investigation. I honestly wish I had done so when it happened to me. That being said, Lawrence Willard is one truly of a kind and most importantly he knows how to get results, and will stop at nothing until he does so. Speaking from experience, and for the sake of your career and future endeavors, please do not let him pass you by.
