Officer GOMOR

I cannot recommend Attorney Willard highly enough. I was facing a GOMOR right before promotion and PCS. - the worst possible timing. If it was not adjudicated quickly and filed locally, I would no longer have a military career. From the very first consultation, Mr. Willard demonstrated unmatched... expertise, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of military law and the nuances of GOMOR cases. His strategic approach, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication with leadership made all the difference. Mr. Willard helped craft a thoughtful and persuasive rebuttal, and his advocacy ultimately resulted in the GOMOR being filed locally and in time to promote. If you’re a service member dealing with administrative actions, having the right attorney is essential. Mr. Willard was exactly that—professional, sharp, and genuinely committed to my case. Absolutely worth every penny!

QMP Consideration

Early in 2024, I was placed under QMP consideration and was facing a situation which could easily result in the end of my career. I was panicked, and had no idea where to start, what to do, or how to format a response to the QMP board. After speaking to some colleagues, they recommended my find a law...yer who has expertise here. After some digging, I came across Mr. Willard. Coincidentally enough, I made my decision to reach out to him based on reviews such as the one I am writing here now. Originally I reached out just for a consultation. I had several concerns. And he was super knowledgeable on the entire process and broke down a step by step process that his team does in order to facilitate a seamless response. He then gave me some time to think about it. After a few days, I reached back out, hired him, and started the process. He directed me every step of the way. He asks about your situation and helps to navigate a well tailored narrative for your personal response letter and builder a perfectly formatted response packet and will adjust and revise as you see fit. Once you are happy with the outcome, he sends the packet to you, and you submit it. Simplified a complicated and worrisome process and ensured my confidence was high. Ultimately, I was retained on Active Duty, and I have no doubt a huge part of that was how well put together and worded my response was. All thanks to Mr. Willard. Worth every penny to hire. If I could give 10 stars I would. Commendable lawyer! Once again, thank you Mr. Willard!

15-6 Investigation and GOMOR Rebuttal

I contacted Attorney Willard in March 2024 after I was flagged and informed of an ongoing 15-6 Investigation. After consulting with several other attorneys, I elected to go with Mr. Willard as his rates were affordable and definitely seemed to care about my case even before I chose to retain him. ...Almost immediately, Mr. Willard got to work in representing me to my command and legal office. He provided thorough information on possible outcomes of my case and a clear path moving forward. He was also honest and realistic with me. When I received the initial investigation results and alleged misconduct from the IO, Mr. Willard helped me draft a comprehensive rebuttal against the allegations. This rebuttal was so thorough, in fact, that the brigade legal team elected to drop the two allegations - which were quite significant - in their entirety and instead elected for an allegation of lesser severity to be sent up to the CG's legal office. Mr. Willard was also aggressive and committed to my rights as a Servicemember under investigation. When the SJA office reached out directly to me via my Commander to ask questions in the latter stages of my investigation, I informed Mr. Willard who almost immediately countered this improper inquiry, reminded the SJA that he represented me, and found that the SJA was perhaps trying to ascertain further information to use against me. At the investigation's conclusion, I was issued a GOMOR with the potential to be filed permanently. However, this GOMOR was for the lesser allegation mentioned above. Although he was on leave, he still requested and got an extension for submitting my GOMOR matters within 24 hours. Mr. Willard, using my case files and the information I provided, wrote almost the entirety of my GOMOR rebuttal and provided me a means to receive support letters from individuals I commissioned with, worked with, or knew. In receiving this and the previous draft, I found that he also commands an amazing mastery in writing that expresses military professionalism with a personal touch - each time I received a draft from him, it seemed like I was the one who wrote it. As a result of the aforementioned facts, my rebuttal matters were 93 pages in length and comprehensively addressed the dropped allegations, the lesser allegation, and my character. Thanks to his assistance, the GOMOR was filed locally and I am now able to PCS from my current duty station. If you are looking for representation in any military case, look no further than Attorney Lawrence Willard and the Law Office of Matthew Barry. He is knowledgeable, honest, and will fight for you on your behalf. Should I require military legal services again, I will immediately contact Attorney Willard.

Board of Inquiry for Officer Elimination

I was facing a board of inquiry for elimination as an O3. I went with attorney Willard because I needed someone with military experience who was familiar with regulation and military personas. Lawrence Willard is confident and professional. He is direct and tells you like it is, no sugar coating. He ...was the fighter I needed when I was ready to give up from a long and arduous legal process. He kept me encouraged and his gameplan was well thought out and strategized. I was retained so it was most definitely money well spent.

I Owe My Freedom to Mr. Willard!

If you find yourself searching for a defense attorney to represent you in a military case, search no further; you’ve come to the right place here with Mr. Lawrence Willard II. You absolutely cannot go wrong in retaining him. I know exactly what you are thinking and exactly what you are going through ...because I was just there and felt bombarded with questions and uncertainty. You’ve given numerous years of service to your country but if you are facing criminal investigation/charges, you are about to see a side of the US military that very few people have seen and the odds will be severely stacked against you. The military judicial system is in place to protect the government and not you as the service member so for that alone, you absolutely NEED a solid defense team that has a breadth of experience, competence, knowledge, and tenacity, all of which you will find with Mr. Willard. Once I was notified of an OSI investigation being opened on me for false allegations, I immediately began searching for an attorney who would fight for my innocence which led me to Lawrence. He reached out to me the same day and began to put my mind at ease knowing he would be in my corner bringing his years of experience both as JAG and as civilian counsel in UCMJ cases. Throughout the entire two years of my proceedings, Mr. Willard never missed a beat and was on top of everything at each and every turn. He was clear and concise about each step and always made sure to explain everything that was happening and also gave realistic expectations for what was next to come in anticipation of the government’s next move(s). You can put your faith and trust in Mr. Willard as he proved to me that he was very experienced and knowledgeable in these cases, and know they UCMJ inside and out. The detail and thoroughness that Mr. Willard puts into his work is impressive and unmatched. The prosecution team would have been put to shame with what our defense team was bringing to the fight. Luckily in my case, things were resolved before trial but I am more than confident that we would have obtained a victory nonetheless even if we had gone to trail. I was facing life in prison due to the actions of a vindictive former spouse but I am here today thanks to Lawrence. My family and I are extremely grateful for Mr. Willard’s help and representation and he was worth every penny! Do yourself a favor and contact Mr. Willard to start laying the groundwork for your defense. The peace of mind alone will be worth it.
