QMP Consideration

Early in 2024, I was placed under QMP consideration and was facing a situation which could easily result in the end of my career. I was panicked, and had no idea where to start, what to do, or how to format a response to the QMP board. After speaking to some colleagues, they recommended my find a law...yer who has expertise here. After some digging, I came across Mr. Willard. Coincidentally enough, I made my decision to reach out to him based on reviews such as the one I am writing here now. Originally I reached out just for a consultation. I had several concerns. And he was super knowledgeable on the entire process and broke down a step by step process that his team does in order to facilitate a seamless response. He then gave me some time to think about it. After a few days, I reached back out, hired him, and started the process. He directed me every step of the way. He asks about your situation and helps to navigate a well tailored narrative for your personal response letter and builder a perfectly formatted response packet and will adjust and revise as you see fit. Once you are happy with the outcome, he sends the packet to you, and you submit it. Simplified a complicated and worrisome process and ensured my confidence was high. Ultimately, I was retained on Active Duty, and I have no doubt a huge part of that was how well put together and worded my response was. All thanks to Mr. Willard. Worth every penny to hire. If I could give 10 stars I would. Commendable lawyer! Once again, thank you Mr. Willard!

The best lifeline

I (SFC/E-7 of 13 years) was faced with an EO 15-6 investigation from an underperforming Soldier. I have not had so much as a negative counseling statement, eligible for promotion to 1SG, flagged for the first time and was devastated at the potential impacts I was facing. Attorney Willard educated me... along the process, was always easily accessible, and truly listened to my concerns. Attorney Willard was quick and aggressive to ensure my rights were protected. The 15-6 was ended without negative action or recourse. I cannot thank him enough for his work!

The attorney you NEED by your side.

For my administrative separation board where I was ultimately retained, and in all matters prior to, Attorney Lawrence Willard displayed an exceptional level of knowledge, professional expertise, and ability to create and execute an effective defense on my behalf. His confidence and tenacity in the f...ace of board members as well as the government prosecutor were nothing short of excellent, he is absolutely the attorney you want by your side if facing any allegations. Doing the research to find this law office and hire Mr. Willard was the best choice I made in my defense. I can recommend his services with absolutely no reservations.

CPT, US Army

Attorney Lawrence Willard II helped me in a situation that was seemingly stacked against me. I was wrongly accused of Assault Consummated by Battery of a high ranking spouse at a unit social event off post. I was throughly investigated by CID, and thought my entire military career was over. Ended up ...only receiving a Letter of Concern, no UCMJ action, complete flag removal and it was all filed locally within my unit with no further action taken to affect my career. It was because of his analysis of facts, understanding of the entire military law process from start to finish which helped protect me from any undue punishment or self-incrimination. Not only was he thorough and organized in each step, he also was professional, empathetic, and completely understanding with him being a seasoned prior service JAG Officer. If you think you might be in a situation where you’ve been informed of an investigation or think you might be, don’t wait, I recommend you call him immediately so you can get ahead of any of the challenges ahead. My career is definitely saved and still managed to receive a top block evaluation during it as well because I was confident in his counsel, mentally prepared for any outcome, maintained my dignity, stayed focused on my job, and held my head up high knowing he had my back and was available at all times. I truly am happy to have called Lawrence and would recommend him to anyone. 10/10 and I’m also not someone who doesn’t do reviews often or sugar coats things. World class lawyer and expert in UCMJ field particularly. Thank you Lawrence!

15-6 Investigation and GOMOR Rebuttal

I contacted Attorney Willard in March 2024 after I was flagged and informed of an ongoing 15-6 Investigation. After consulting with several other attorneys, I elected to go with Mr. Willard as his rates were affordable and definitely seemed to care about my case even before I chose to retain him. ...Almost immediately, Mr. Willard got to work in representing me to my command and legal office. He provided thorough information on possible outcomes of my case and a clear path moving forward. He was also honest and realistic with me. When I received the initial investigation results and alleged misconduct from the IO, Mr. Willard helped me draft a comprehensive rebuttal against the allegations. This rebuttal was so thorough, in fact, that the brigade legal team elected to drop the two allegations - which were quite significant - in their entirety and instead elected for an allegation of lesser severity to be sent up to the CG's legal office. Mr. Willard was also aggressive and committed to my rights as a Servicemember under investigation. When the SJA office reached out directly to me via my Commander to ask questions in the latter stages of my investigation, I informed Mr. Willard who almost immediately countered this improper inquiry, reminded the SJA that he represented me, and found that the SJA was perhaps trying to ascertain further information to use against me. At the investigation's conclusion, I was issued a GOMOR with the potential to be filed permanently. However, this GOMOR was for the lesser allegation mentioned above. Although he was on leave, he still requested and got an extension for submitting my GOMOR matters within 24 hours. Mr. Willard, using my case files and the information I provided, wrote almost the entirety of my GOMOR rebuttal and provided me a means to receive support letters from individuals I commissioned with, worked with, or knew. In receiving this and the previous draft, I found that he also commands an amazing mastery in writing that expresses military professionalism with a personal touch - each time I received a draft from him, it seemed like I was the one who wrote it. As a result of the aforementioned facts, my rebuttal matters were 93 pages in length and comprehensively addressed the dropped allegations, the lesser allegation, and my character. Thanks to his assistance, the GOMOR was filed locally and I am now able to PCS from my current duty station. If you are looking for representation in any military case, look no further than Attorney Lawrence Willard and the Law Office of Matthew Barry. He is knowledgeable, honest, and will fight for you on your behalf. Should I require military legal services again, I will immediately contact Attorney Willard.
