My Experience with Mr. Willard in Regards to a Separation Board for a Sexual Assault Allegation

Mr. Willard is amazing at what he does. For context, I was a SPC under investigation for sexual assault of an alleged victim. My case was taken to a separation board, and I decided after looking into their law firm to see legal assistance in my case. Mr. Willard instantly took interest in my case,... and after noticing discrepancies in the CID interviews of the alleged victim and the SAFE report, worked with me to gather all evidence that I had slowly collected over the year of investigation to create a defense on my behalf. He was exceptional at keeping me in the loop of all legal proceedings, and preparing me for the upcoming separation board. Thanks to Mr. Willard, I was able to confidently go into the separation board, speak my side of the story, provide evidence, and was determined to be innocent of the sexual assault charge and allowed to continue my career in the US Army. If you are going through any situation where you are being accused of a crime you did not commit, and you can confidently say you didn’t commit said crime, then hire Mr. Willard. He is the kind of lawyer that will have your back throughout everything, and will support and help you fight what may seem like a losing battle.

I hired Lawrence Arthur Willard II to represent me in a military case. From our first consultation, he demonstrated not only a deep commitment in helping others but a strong understanding of military law and professionalism. Something that stood out to me from the beginning of this case was his ded...ication towards my case. Lawrence Willard II was detailed, strategic, and organized. He walked me through every step of the process, made sure I understood my case. I’m grateful to have had someone so competent and ethical. RETAINED after 2x GOMARs for allegations of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence

I was facing an Other Than Honorable discharge after three years of investigations, false allegations, and repeated battles against unjust GOMARs. I was told by TDS that I would likely lose most of my medical and retirement benefits, and I felt that due process was not being followed. This ordeal nea...rly destroyed my career and my mental health. Then I was referred to Attorney Willard and The Law Office of Matthew Barry. From our first conversation, Attorney Willard’s knowledge, focus, and commitment were clear. He guided me through the Board of Inquiry process with thorough preparation, including mock boards, detailed coaching, and consistent communication that kept me confident and ready. During the hearing, Attorney Willard presented facts, evidence, and my testimony in a way that helped the board truly understand my situation and my character. His opening and closing statements were powerful, persuasive, and professional. At every stage, he remained composed, strategic, and fully in control of the process. Because of his tireless work, my 19-year Army career was saved, and I was retained. After three long years, I can say without hesitation that Attorney Willard stood by me, advocated for me, and gave me the best chance to be heard. I would trust him with my life. God bless this law firm, and God bless Attorney Willard for giving me my career and peace of mind back.

Officer GOMOR

I cannot recommend Attorney Willard highly enough. I was facing a GOMOR right before promotion and PCS. - the worst possible timing. If it was not adjudicated quickly and filed locally, I would no longer have a military career. From the very first consultation, Mr. Willard demonstrated unmatched... expertise, responsiveness, and a deep understanding of military law and the nuances of GOMOR cases. His strategic approach, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication with leadership made all the difference. Mr. Willard helped craft a thoughtful and persuasive rebuttal, and his advocacy ultimately resulted in the GOMOR being filed locally and in time to promote. If you’re a service member dealing with administrative actions, having the right attorney is essential. Mr. Willard was exactly that—professional, sharp, and genuinely committed to my case. Absolutely worth every penny!

Rapid resolution

I was charged a field grade article 15 five days before my orders ended. However after I was read my article 15, a copy was not given to me until 2 days before my orders ended. My chain of command advised me to hurry up and not seek legal counsel. I quickly contacted attorney Willard and explained th...e situation. He worked very quickly and was patient with me answering all my questions. He explained all the possible outcomes and all my options. He sent one email to my chain of command stating that according to army regulation I must be given a copy of the article 15 and 48 hours to respond. Since my orders were ending in 36 hours once I was finally given a copy. The Article 15 was dropped. This could not be possible without Attorney Willard!
