Great Advice from Investigation to Resignation

Mr. Willard was great to have on board and in my inner circle FOR A WHOLE YEAR. In 2025, I was notified I had an unrestricted report filed against me for allegations that were untrue. To preface, as an officer, I did engage in a prohibited but consensual relationship that was coming back to haunt m...e because it ended poorly. However, the other soldier was trying to ruin my entire life and future outside the military after what was alleged in the unrestricted report. I hired Mr. Willard immediately after being notified of the CID investigation. He gave sound and timely advice as the case progressed and CID found no probable cause, which was a huge win. CID then referred the case to the command for administrative investigating (AR 15-6) that substantiated fraternization, adultery, and conduct unbecoming an officer. Through the admin process he continually let me know my rights and gave advice which would be best for me and my case. I received a GOMAR as well as the commands intent to withdraw my federal recognition after the substantiated allegations. He meticulously helped with my GOMAR rebuttal, and an amazing rebuttal was drafted that presented my case in the best fashion possible. Unfortunately, the command still filed it permanently, but he absolutely set the stage going into a WOFR board, which he knew the command would do before I was notified of the intent. As we began preparing for the WOFR board, I decided it was best for myself and family to just cut ties with the military. With his advice and my distaste for the risk of an OTH at a board, we submitted a resignation in lieu of WOFR proceedings and was accepted by the command with a General, Under Honorable Conditions discharge. However, I do think had we gone to a board, he would have put up an amazing fight on my behalf to give me the best result possible. It's one of my regrets, but with a civilian career ahead of me, I couldn't risk the OTH at a board. He gave me the pros and cons of resigning or going to the board, and ultimately it was my decision to resign, which he did an amazing job helping with as the paperwork progressed. Overall, he answered all my questions (even repeated ones) with great knowledge and understanding of the situation I was in as well as the military laws associated with my case. I never felt judged even though I was extremely embarrassed to talk about the details of the misconduct. If I hadn't hired him, I don't think I would have been afforded the opportunity to pick up the pieces of my life. Currently, I feel like I am able to professionally and personally recover with a second chance beyond the military. This is absolutely thanks to the help of Mr. Willard guiding me through every step of the way. I would hire him in a heartbeat for any soldier who finds themselves defending against the government. Like me, if you're reading this, I'm guessing you're considering calling Mr. Willard's office, and I am here to tell you, DO NOT HESITATE. The sooner he is in your circle, the better the outcome may be.

QMP (Army)

Awesome Lawyer! Very friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to the military side of things. He was easy to stay in touch with and made this process very easy for me.

Command initiated separation for 4 separate allegations. Results: Retained

Attorney Lawrence Willard was by far the best of the best! Not only is he extremely knowledgeable in what he does, he is very professional and precise when it comes to attention to detail. I was facing separation with an other than honorable discharge for 4 separate allegations. I was facing adultery... allegations, domestic violence allegations, strangulation allegations, and fleeing and evading allegations. Not only did the he uncover all the lies through evidence provided. He was also able to get everything unsubstantiated minus one. I was able to get retained and not put an end to my 8 year military career. If you’re looking at the results like I was and is in doubt don’t be. It was the best decision I could’ve made in fighting for my career. I’ve have over 5 attorneys and can say by far he was the best out of all my other attorneys without a doubt.

Should have gone to him first. Fraternization GOMOR

I hired Mr. Willard following our free consult, to assist with the transfer of a permanently filed GOMOR on my restricted file. Even with up to an 11 hour time gap, Mr. Willard's communication was timely and thorough. Mr. Willard was able to walk me through the transfer request process and assist me ...in preparing my packet, and was even able to submit the packet on my behalf while I was on mission out of country. Happy to report that the transfer request was received and approved in an expeditions manner. My only regret is not having found Mr. Willard and his firm when the investigation was initiated, as I've now learned how understaffed and inexperienced the military assistance lawyers on post are. I firmly believe that if I'd had his help from the start, I would have been able to more succinctly state my case and possibly avoided the GOMOR in whole. Regardless, the case was a success, and my hopes for both promotion and continued service have returned!

Lawrence Willard should be your first choice.

Lawrence went above and beyond as a lawyer. Due to his efforts I was able to keep my Special Forces tab and my rank and get the outcome we had hoped for. Out standing lawyer, I would highly recommend to anyone needing competent and confident representation.
