No communication for months at a time!

I got to witness someone pay a good amount of money for this attorney to sit on her butt and ignore her client for over 2 years for something as simple and easy as his child support case. Then, she has the audacity to send a large bill and want payment for sending emails back and forth to the opposin...g attorney getting no where. The opposing attorney requested taxes and ppwk and we sent them in the next day. In 2 years, she’s STILL not even sent that to him! She’s done absolutely NO WORK on this case what so ever! Emails and voicemails have went weeks to months unanswered. Her Aussie assistant will tell you she’s “in court” but how is she in court 5 days a week and not able to respond to a simple “can we please have an update on this case?”. Because of her lack of representation, lack of communication, and all around unprofessionalism, she’s been reported to the bar. Stay away! Do not invest or hire in this attorney.

Thank you for commenting. While making a public comment requires bravery, unfortunately, as I am unaware of your identity, you have not allowed me the opportunity to address these issues directly. Additionally, you cited that you retained me, but you reference my representation of another individual, which negates the possibility of me addressing my client directly. Further, as I am required to protect my client's confidentiality and the confidentiality of matters to which I represent clients, you've attacked me, my representation, my integrity, and my staff in a public forum, which appears to have occurred after I and my office attempted to collect an unpaid debt in contravention of a contract to pay me for services rendered. While I dedicate myself to the representation of my clients and their issues, I - like you - contract for payment of my time. As I am required to keep my clients' circumstances confidential, I would never forsake my ethical responsibility to address issues in a public forum. I invite the individual with whom you are acquainted to contact me to discuss his/her/their issues or concerns discreetly, as I assure that I would have addressed those issues had I known of same during my representation. I look forward to speaking with him/her/them directly, and I wish you all of the best tidings in all of you/s/he/their endeavors.

"Ok, here's the deal: Rebecca Lashbrook may only have been licensed for a year, but she has worked within the Court and Judicial system at the highest levels a non-lawyer could. Therefore, she knows lawyers, cases, and the litigation process better than her "official" experience indicates. I know she will do well for her clients. Rebecca Lashbrook is a fine lawyer."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
