I met Cherie under what I thought was the worst time in my life, she was referred to me by a friend, from the time I walked in her office I felt cared about, see I had just found out my husband of 29 years was having an affair, my life as I knew it and my children's was over. It took longer than usua...l for my divorce to go through but only due to my ex husband and his attorney stalling at every possible turn. Not only did she walk me through every detail and every phase of this horrible event, she also gave me her cell number and told me to call her anytime I needed too. She explained all the legal manuvers that both her and the other attorney were using. Basically in my time of shock and need and numbness she was the voice of reason and my sanity .She not only got me everything I asked for in divorce but also answers to questions I needed to know personally. I would recommend her to anyone for any reason. She will also be doing my will and my powers of attorney since I am a single mother now, and also helping me with paper work when I start my new business.

She was suppose to handling my divorce but it has been over a month now and I still can't reach her. She doesn't return calls, text messages or emails and have found her to lie about some things such as saying she was ready for court but I had not been prepared in any way nor had she spoken to me. Sh...e was quick to get the money but since then I have not heard anything. She talks a good game but was horrible in court. Just avoid this attorney. She will not fight for you!

Attorney does not get back with you when you call her. Takes your money and tells you she will handle and it will go quickly and then want return phone calls does nothing at all . She is always out of the office. She is rude when you do talk to her and then she still does nothing. Please do not choos...e this Attorney she will take your money and do nothing but avoid you.

Like the above reviewers she told me everything I wanted to hear. Once she got her $3500 retainer, she stopped returning my calls, and "forgot" to show up for the mediation. I finally got her to come one and a half hours later. At which point she didn't even know my son's name. Then she completely we...nt back on everything she told me before getting her retainer. RIGHT IN THE MIDLLE OF MEDIATION! After this fiasco, I asked her for a report of the hours she had spent on my case. Amazingly she had spent over ten hours and hadn't learned my son's name or any of the details of the case. She then broke off all communication with me. I will be reporting her to her employers and most likely the Tennessee Bar Association. In the mean time, Avoid Cherie Cash Rutledge at all costs! Find a good lawyer, they are out there.

I hired her to take work on a child support case and she started telling me everything she could do for me and it would be took care of in no time. I'm currently now going on 2 1/2 yrs and not the first thing has been done. Currently I call about twice a month trying to find out a status on my case a...nd she's either never in the office or unavailable at the time and her assistant says she will have her call me back but she never calls. I'm not very happy with her at all considering she was quick to take a few thousand dollars and not do anything in return. The one time I do get a response from her she informs me were waiting on my exes lawyer but there has to be a time limit they have to give a response. I would not recommend her to anyone for anything. Don't waste your money with her because you will never get anything in return.
