I deeply regret hiring Attorney Michael Durakiewicz and would not recommend his services to anyone. The experience was nothing short of a disaster from start to finish. First off, he didn’t show up for the initial hearing. When the hearing was finally rescheduled, he arrived a full three hours late...—no explanation, no apology, just “I put the wrong time on my calendar”. It was incredibly unprofessional and set the stage for the lack of competence I would continue to deal with. At the rescheduled hearing, it became painfully clear that he was unprepared. He didn’t know the basic facts of my case, which was not only frustrating but also deeply concerning. I was left to explain key details during the hearing—something no client should ever have to do. When I asked why he would speak to the District Attorney (DA) without knowing the facts of my case, the attorney’s response was that "we would do great at trial." This was a red flag for me, as it felt like he was eager to go to trial simply to rack up extra fees, rather than working toward an actual resolution or settlement. It became evident that Michael Durakiewicz was more interested in dragging things out for his own financial gain than in resolving my case efficiently. His advice was consistently vague, and he failed to provide a clear, strategic plan moving forward. It seemed like he was more focused on billing hours than on actually helping me, which made me feel taken advantage of. In the end, I had to hire a new attorney, and I walked away feeling completely misled and frustrated. He also refused to a partial refund of the upfront fee. I strongly urge anyone in need of legal representation to avoid Michael Durakiewicz. He seemed more interested in dragging out the process and collecting extra fees than in offering competent, honest legal assistance. Very suspicious that he has mainly 5 star reviews.
