Scam artist

Horrible human being. Scammed my mother out of a ton of money and didn't help her at all. Use literally anyone else.

Beware!

This lawyer will act so caring and then she will pounce! She did (her paralegal) paperwork, I did the footwork. I carried, so my case would go quicker, paperwork to Chattanooga, paid a notary and brought paperwork back to Parker. She charged me. Then on the court date, she was 45 minutes late to meet... me, we went to the court house, she charged me for meeting her when we only said hello and left for the court house. At the beginning of the whole case she said she would only charge me a certain amount, which I immediately paid in full. She said if there was nothing substantial happens, she would not charge anymore. Well she decided she needed more. I would try to talk with her or her assistant and they were not available. Then after almost 7 years she takes me to court because I wouldn't pay her for all of the work I did. I had a wedding I had to attend in FL on the court date, she would not talk to me nor would her lawyer. Of course I lost when I could not show up. Not sure how she sleeps at night, but people like this do not care. Stay away!!!!

Absolutely Terrible!!

Whatever you do, do not use Laurie Parker to do a Trust. If you do, this is what you can expect. You will pay a large retainer fee before anything is ever initiated (mine was $3000). Then you will be in a several month process with you attempting repeatedly to get Laurie to return your calls & ema...ils. You will finally have to contact her staff to ever get her to follow up with you. There will be so much time elapsed between discussions that Laurie can't even remember what you discussed previously. She will claim that she is too busy and overwhelmed, she will lie & tell you that she sent you emails when she doesn't & that they are having server problems is why she didn't respond to your emails. By the time we got done we had so little confidence in the final product that we just went to a new attorney and basically got absolutely nothing but a great deal of frustration and disappointment from the experience with Laurie … $3000 completely down the drain! Do yourself a favor & find someone competent who will do a Trust in a couple weeks & at a third of the cost of Laurie. She way over complicates the process and honestly does not know what she is doing. If you could give a -0- Star review, that is what she would get from my wife & I.

Warning! She is a horrible lawyer! I am not sure why she chose this career field?

I don't normally like to rate or give reviews, but I feel I must warn others. This woman should find a new career or retire. She clearly should not be a lawyer. I don't even get how she has been able to work in that nice Franklin law office with her lack of skills and confidence this long? When she ...was my lawyer there was a lack of focus and no care involved. My case was completely mismanaged, what a complete and utter nightmare this experience was. She took months to even return a call or email, only to respond with information I already had and excuses. I would ask her a question and she would say that she seemed to have a lack of know-how. My simple probate case dragged on and on when it should have been wrapped up so much sooner. This is done on purpose to give you fatigue so that you finally give up. My simple probate case took years and years. I recently spoke to other lawyers about it and they were appalled at the time frame of it all. I would NEVER recommend this women or the firm she represents. I heard they take their sweet time with all these cases as to drain you financially over time. Sorry Laurie A Parker, you asked for this review so here it is.

Excellent Attorney

We found ourselves in a long, difficult two-year process of trying to protect our young granddaughter. Ms. Parker was professional, competent and amazingly compassionate as she worked with our family. She took tremendous amounts of time understanding our concerns and CARED about our granddaughter's... well-being. There were times when she showed up and didn't charge a fee because she CARED. We don't know what our future legal needs might be (and we pray we don't find ourselves back in the courts fighting for our granddaughter); but if we do, our first call will be to Ms. Parker.
