I’m normally not one to write reviews but I had such a wonderful experience that I just had to. Ms. Joanie Abernathy recently helped me with a prenup and I have to say, I was incredibly nervous about the whole process and did not know what to expect. She was such a breath of fresh air! You can tell t...hat she truly CARES about her clients and that this job isn’t simply a paycheck for her.. She was incredibly attentive and kind and never made me feel rushed or stressed. I’m so thankful for her and all her help. If you’re looking for a lawyer who truly cares about the people she’s working for, hire her. You won’t regret it! She’s wonderful.

Joanie is an incredible lawyer. I hired her for a civil issue with an ex-boyfriend that continued to abuse and harass me. She was always available to meet and discuss any impending issues. She was organized in her case review. She is also very straightforward in what she thinks is possible given ...the court system. She gives good advice on ways to approach questions that may be asked in court and how to answer them without coming off too emotional. She is very compassionate and solution-based. She always stated "we will get through this" and made me feel like she was on a team with me. I was very prepared as a client and she allowed me to provide my on insight into my case and prioritize the things I needed to get across. She kept me calm and empowered me to stand up for myself. And in court she was a rockstar!!! Nothing got past her and I was able to feel at ease and trust that she had it under control. The situation was unbearable, but with Joanie I was able to get through it. She is a winner of a person and a lawyer and I feel so grateful that I found her.
