Biography
I am a former parole/probation agent with the Michigan Department of Corrections. After spending 12 years with the MDOC I made the decision to return to school to pursue a law degree. I graduated, cum laude, from the Thomas M Cooley Law School and joined the Midland, Michigan firm of Cline Close Dyer PLC. At CCD I successfully represented clients in the areas of family law, general civil litigation, landlord-tenant matters, and criminal defense. In 2012, my wife and I relocated our family to the Nashville area. Since that time, I have represented many clients in the areas of criminal defense and general civil litigation matters.
My philosophy towards my client representation is simple. I treat all clients with the same respect and dignity that I would want. I believe in keeping my clients well informed at all stages of their case and my mission is to achieve the absolute best results.
I've worked hard to foster professional relationships with the local prosecutors and my reputation as an honest and reasonable lawyer often helps me resolve client’s cases early on and to the benefit of my clients. I've also successfully tried cases to a jury from Especially Aggravated Kidnapping (class A Felony) to Public Intoxication (class C Misdemeanor). If we can't get the result we want through negotiation, I’ll gladly step into the ring to fight the State. The courtroom IS my comfort zone.
