Jeremy Wayne Armstrong

When I was facing ten years in prison, Mr. Armstrong did not mince words about how difficult our court battle would be. He was always encouraging but also realistic. His knowledge of the law, and his rapport with the judge and prosecutor was exactly what I needed to make the best decision possible fo...r my circumstances. Thanks to Mr. Armstrong’s guidance, I was able to move on with my life.

When we needed to search for a defense lawyer, we searched for one who we hoped was a pit bull in the court room. This didn’t mean rude in the court. We were looking for someone who was relentless in pursuing and presenting facts in court. We knew the DA would try to make a story out of an arrest... of our son based on few if any facts. There was little to no investigation done and it was political season so our Son’s case would be extremely politicized. We believed the DA at the time might be choosing to publicize this case so as to help his re-election but the people of Alabama saw through his charade. The incumbent DA wasn’t re-elected. In hindsight, even the newly elected DA seemed to try and do something similar. We believe the facts supported our son’s innocence, which ultimately proved out. So, our defense lawyer needed to be highly assertive and very knowledgeable. After the initial allegations, the DA never made any attempt to find out the real facts in case. But Jeremy Armstrong did and was highly successful. He won ! ! ! We found that cases like what our son’s had a high probability of conviction and might require expert medical testimony. Through the Innocence Projects and the efforts of many others, many previous convictions have been overturned. A book called “Flawed Convictions” and an outstanding Washington Post newspaper article helped us understand the real cause of many baby deaths. Even an unproven theory (the basis for many baby arrests) was being debunked. By medical experts taking time, they are determining there are natural causes or unintentional events that can cause a baby’s death. The fact that many legal systems (including Alabama and many other states) are not current with medical knowledge, this case would be extremely difficult and very subject to information bias. Even during the trial, the Prosecution attempted to make a story that had little basis in real facts. Fortunately, the good people of Alabama saw through the Prosecutions false story. The case never emphasized our Son’s love for his daughter. By Jeremy Armstrong’s approaching his (brilliant) defense based on absence of any facts to support intent by our Son, the information was simplified for the Jury so they could better understand. Without Jeremy Armstrong’s strong legal knowledge and experience knowing how to approach this case, this case could have been lost. A complex subject was simplified to topics the average person could understand. Thank God for Jeremy and Ashley (his assistant), we have our son back ! ! !

This is a long overdue review for Mr. Jeremy Armstrong. I had been wrongfully accused of sexually abusing my stepson by his father in a bid to win full custody of his son since the custody courts initially told him he would never receive it. We originally hired a lawfirm out of Birmingham, lost faith... in their abilities, and then spoke to several more lawfirms. All of which we were not very happy with. Then we came across Mr. Armstrong's website. It looked impressive so we set up an appointment with him, held a meeting, hired him, and never looked back. We wanted a lawyer that knew what needed to be done instead of asking us what we wanted to do, was professional, and extremely knowledgeable. These were all traits that Mr. Armstrong possesses. To him Icould tell was not just another number or business transaction. I was an innocent person with a family that he sincerely wanted me to go home to after the closing of the trial. Needless to say I was found not guilty. Jeremy saved me and my family and for that I am forever greatful. I wish there were ten stars because he deserves more than five.
