Mrs Simmons is very confident and helpful with every aspect of my case. I couldn’t have asked for a better attorney to represent me in my workman’s comp case
Lindsey was always there for me no matter what I needed( even when she was sick) . When she moved south I was worried but she was still there by my side. She treated me like family and I appreciate her and Robin so much!
Lindsey Simmons was born in Birmingham, Alabama on April 18, 1979. She was admitted to the Alabama State Bar in 2005, and is admitted to all state and federal trial courts in Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama (B.A., English - Public Relations, 2001) and from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (J.D. 2004). For her skills, Lindsey was selected by other lawyers as a “Top Lawyer” in 2012 and 2015 as published by Birmingham magazine.
Lindsey is very active in local and statewide bar organizations; she formerly served as the President of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Alabama State Bar, the Chairperson of the Alabama Association for Justice Workers' Compensation Section, and president of the Birmingham Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section.
Lindsey's recent record jury verdict in ultra-conservative Shelby County for a worker fired because of his workers' compensation claim quadrupled the prior high verdict for that county in that type of case.
Growing up in Hueytown, a suburb of Birmingham, Lindsey knew from a very young age that she wanted to become a lawyer. This desire came from being around her uncle, also a Birmingham lawyer. At the age of seven years old, she told her parents she would go to law school one day. Lindsey worked for her uncle during her summer vacations while at college, and became more determined to make her dream of becoming a lawyer come true. Lindsey and her husband Hunter live in Birmingham, and recently welcomed a new addition to the family, their son, Sawyer.

King Simmons
Everything was done well. I was well informed and kept up to date about everything. Everyone who works at the firm showed total professionalism and courtesy. I don't think anything needs to be improved. The law was explained clearly and so that I could understand it. If i come across anyone who needs an attorney I will be sure to recommend King Simmons.

My Review
Everything was done well working with Mrs. Simmons. I had no problems whatsoever. She explained the law well regarding my situation. I just referred my aunt to her.

Major Mishandling
Mrs. Simmons filed the Complaint, served Defendant along with Interrogatories. Defendant refused to Answer. Ms. Simmons failed to file a Motion to Compel on Defendant when time expired to Answer Interrogatories for Discovery. Defendant requested me to Answer Interrogatories but of course the questions are very personal and private. I refused, as the Defendant refused, keeping in mind they were requesting personal and private information of me after refusing to Answer very basic questions about my work related injury. Not at all of the same caliber..
From July-November 2021, Ms. Simmons had the fiduciary duty of filing a Motion to Compel but she refused. When I didn't agree with her way of practicing law she withdrew. Thankfully the Judge allowed her to remove herself as I wanted to fire her but would've had to pay for all costs. Definitely don't recommend. I have replaced her with a competent Attorney who agrees with the mishandling of my case by Ms. Simmons.
When I requested my file from Ms. Simmons I received someone else's medical records. I'm assuming another client of Ms. Simmon's. She also filed her Motion to Withdraw from my case but submitted another client's information against Circle K who I'm not affiliated. Complete clustering.
