Dana Delk

I had to get custody of my son. Dana was completely honest. Most people think lawyers try to get over. I never felt that way with Dana. She was always forth coming and never sugar coated anything. She was always available to answer any questions I had. She also did what she could to save money and wa...s honest about how much it would cost. Dana handled my divorce and I could not be more pleased. Due to circumstances outside of our control the process lasted almost 10 months, and she was right there with me the whole way. She gained my trust immediately, and I would ask her advice on how to proceed with certain items based on her experi...ence with previous cases. Dana tried to settle the case out of court on several occasions by helping me put together settlement offers and proposing them to the other party, and she also gave me the signal when it was time to stop spending time and money on offers when it was clear that my ex was not going to settle. She was always quick to give advice while also reminding me that she's not the parent in the case, nor is she the judge. Dana was very thorough in her work and I really enjoyed interacting with her. She has a great attitude which helps out a lot during stressful cases of divorce and child custody. She doesn't take any crap from the other party, and that's what I was looking for. We ended up winning custody of my 2 girls, which was an amazing accomplishment. If I had not won custody, I would not have been able to blame any of it on Dana because it would not have been for a lack of trying or for a lack of a thorough process. I came in to see Ms. Delk with a pretty big problem, due to the economic downturn a few years back. I was behind on my child support from 2011. I sat down with Ms. Delk and presented my problem. She looked over the Complaint my Former Wife had filed and my divorce decree. She then told me point bl...ank I had an uphill battle. Ms. Delk accepted my case and sent me home to get all the evidence she thought we needed to get a favorable judgment. I got all the records I could, which wasn't much, and everything else she asked for that was within my power. On our second meeting, she reviewed all that I had brought. She told me straight up I was going to have to pay a good deal of money. It wasn't what I wanted to hear, but that's what the math added up to .To make a long story short, we settled out of court for $100,000 less than my ex was seeking with me paying none of my ex wife's attorney's fees. The settlement we arrived at was within $5,000 of what Dana told me on our second consultation! She will not sugarcoat your case or tell you things she doesn't truly believe can be accomplished, nor will she back down in negotiating! She was fully prepared for court, but the opposing counsel knew she was right. I would strongly recommend Dana to any men who need representation in family law matters!
