also known as Will Pylant
Will Pylant founded Pylant Estate Law because he saw the need for a boutique estate planning, probate and estate law firm in North Alabama that charges reasonable fees. He has assisted many North Alabama families with estate planning and preserving assets and family legacies. He has also prosecuted and defended will contests and heirship property disputes to trial, advised trustees on large and complicated trusts, and helped families resolve matters privately in mediation.
Will has worked in the area of estates, trusts, and probate for his entire career. Before founding Pylant Estate Law, Will was a trust officer at regional bank where he administered wills and trusts in which the bank was named as Executor or Trustee. He also assisted high net worth individuals with planning their estate. Prior to his time with the bank, Will practiced with a prominent firm and handled cases involving estate planning, will contests, power of attorney disputes, guardianship and conservatorship matters, elder law, and heirship property litigation including sale for division.
Will is a past president of the Young Lawyers Section of the Huntsville Bar Association and previously served on the Alabama State Bar Association’s Senior Lawyer-New Lawyer Task Force.
Outside of the office, Will serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Huntsville Botanical Garden and is active with Huntsville First United Methodist Church where he helps his wife with the youth group.
Will holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was recognized by the National Alumni Association as one of ten outstanding seniors for the class of 2014. While at UA, Will was elected as SGA Executive Vice President and Vice President for Student Affairs. He received the Lister Hill award for his work with student government which included leading projects promoting the baseball team, the arts, veterans’ affairs, parking and campus diversity. He was a member of the honor societies Omicron Delta Kappa, Blue Key, Order of Omega, and Pi Sigma Alpha. He also volunteered his time with tornado relief and free tax preparation.
Will received his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University where he was a Caruthers Fellow, Research and Writing Editor for The American Journal of Trial Advocacy and President of the Cumberland Republicans. Additionally, he was also the Scholar of Merit (best paper) in Constitutional Law II and American Law Practice and Procedure. In his third year, Will was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. He also served in the Student Bar Association as a class representative.
Will is active in local and state politics, having served as an intern in the Governor’s office, the campaign aide and driver to the Mayor of Huntsville, and as a United States Page appointed by United States Senator Richard Shelby. He has assisted with several successful local and state campaigns.
Will is a proud product of Huntsville City Schools, having graduated from Huntsville High School in 2010 as class president.

I have been to Will twice now. The first was for a consultation on an elder law matter. He impressed me so much that my husband and I went back for our estate planning. Will and the others at the office were very efficient and pleasant to deal with. We recommend him without reservation!

"I endorse this lawyer. Will may be a "newer" lawyer, but his expertise and concern for the well-being of his clients exceeds many a practitioner who may have more years..."
