When I graduated from law school, I was honored to be chosen as a judicial law clerk for Judge James P. Smith. In Judge Smith's court, I had a front row seat to many of the best trial lawyers in North Alabama. I watched those great lawyers fight hard for their clients. It didn't take long for me to decide I wanted to be a lawyer who fights hard for my client, and who doesn't back down from a trial. My mentor, Bud Watson, gave me my opportunity once my one-year judicial clerkship ended. Since then, I have devoted my law practice to cases involving severe and debilitating personal injuries, substantial damages, and wrongful death. For 15 years, I have successfully argued cases to verdict in many Alabama counties, and Federal courts.

"Jen is an excellent trial attorney. Before starting my own firm in 2016, I spent many years as a partner in a personal injury trial firm with a state-wide practice. Jennifer worked as an attorney for that firm. During her time with that firm, she frequently tried automobile accident cases on behalf of injured people. And, she routinely won cases other lawyers thought were difficult or unwinnable. Her success in court was impressive. Jen tried cases from routine automobile accidents to complex matters involving multiple issues. She helped win cases involving substantial punitive damage verdicts. She also protected her clients in appeals before the Alabama Supreme Court. Jen worked hard to help her clients and it showed. I saw first-hand her dedication. After starting my new firm, I asked her to bring the same commitment to our current clients."
