Coby represents clients in the Madison, Morgan, Limestone, and Lawrence Counties in North Alabama at NXTSTEP Family Law, P.C.

Coby has served as the young Lawyer’s division, Family Law Chair of the American Bar Association in 2014- 2015. Coby is a Member of the Madison County Bar Association, serves as a Guardian ad Litem, serving for the best interests of minor children in in the Madison County, Morgan County, and Limestone County areas and is an active participant with the Madison County Volunteer Lawyer Program as a pro bono attorney, agreeing to take at least two cases per year.

Child Custody Case

Coby Boswell was excellent from day one. Prior to going to court everything that needed to be taken care of was done in a fast and timely manner, he was very professional and handled my case with ease. He’s also very good at conflict resolution and getting work done quickly so props to him and his team. I would definitely recommend him to anyone going through child custody battles.

Great experience

Coby did a great job of handling my divorce and making me feel like I was heard and understood, and that I no longer had to carry all the stress alone. Excellent Attorney, gives sound advice and gets results!

NXTSTEP is nothing short of amazing! I consulted with Kris years ago when she was at another firm and when I learned she’d opened her own, followed her. You couldn’t find a better team to work with. To date, Kris and Coby have handled 2 of my custody modifications. Hands down the best lawyer around

Very quickly into my consultation, I knew that Coby was the lawyer for me. He was direct, honest and prepared me for what to expect instead of just telling me what I wanted to hear. Flawless

Child Custody.

Coby helped me get my son back after he was withheld more than once. He was with me every step of the way and very supportive. Answered every email and phone calls. I seriously can’t say enough amazing things about him and his team. He got me full custody!

Highly recommended

Coby has been an excellent lawyer to my situation over the last 4 years! I've gone through a custody battle as well as terminations of parental rights. He has been my right hand man! I couldn't have asked for a better lawyer. From my back to back phone calls crying and freaking out for no reason or my calls of just great advice from someone I trust. We've gone a few months of silence, because everything was great, he would always call just to touch base and make sure my life was ok. Gets the job done

Mr. Boswell worked my custody case and was able to get me joint custody after my X-wife had kept my children from me for 3 years. He's fee is a little pricey but his office has worked with me and worked out a great payment plan I can afford I highly recommend his office.

A great lawyer

Coby is phenomenal. I hired him when starting my divorce process and was completely clueless on what to do. Coby met with me the day after I called and explained to me my options. I have two small children that are my world and he has kept there best interest at heart since day one. He has always been prompt to respond to calls and emails and always follows through on what he says. He dealt with everything and always gave me the quote "hindsight is 20/20" He still represents me and helps with the joys of dealing with child support issues. I highly recommend him and am so thankful for him.

Proactive and Professional

Mr. Boswell was very proactive to find a solution to my custody issue. As soon as he saw the situation beginning to escalate, he guided me through the PFA process. He was very professional and knowledgeable in the courtroom. During the trial he kept me calm and on task. Throughout the entire process, he was prompt at returning phone calls and emails. He always went the extra mile to make sure the right steps were being taken!

Very Responsive & Excellent at Trial

Having Coby Boswell as my lawyer was the best decision I could have made during the divorce process. If I needed anything or had a question he would answer quickly. He explained processes, procedures, and documents in a way that helped me understand the details. During the trial he kept me calm and focused, and asked the most pertinent questions to get to the underlying issues of why my spouse should not have custody of our daughter. Due to this, the judge awarded me sole custody, which I truly feel was in the best interest of my child. I would definitely recommend Coby to anyone going through a divorce, especially when the welfare of a child is at risk.

Cares for Clients

Coby is great in court. He really cares for his clients and their situations. He was passionate about my situation and made sure that our case was properly heard. If he feels that something is not going right or anything is unfair or unjust, he is not afraid to stand up for his clients, in and outside of the court room.
