Highly Recommended Mr. Shane Sears

My Children and I have been represented by Mr. Shane Sears on an Educational and a Personal Injury case. I cannot thank him enough for his knowledge, advice, compassion and results. I would not hesitate to recommend Shane to anyone in need of a wonderful attorney.

A True Advocate

I had been really wary of going to a lawyer when I first got into a car accident in 2014, but as time went by and the insurance agency of the guy who hit me became increasingly hard to work with (to the point I caught them lying) I knew I had to seek legal help. Enter Shane T. Sears and Andrew Ladore...s. Mr. Shane and his firm came highly recommended to us from a friend who had used his legal services before. Thankfully he lived up to the ridiculously high bar our friend had set. From day one Shane and Andrew stayed on top of things. They constantly kept us updated on where the case was, what we were waiting on, and what I needed to do. Shane and Andrew both took the time to always explain everything to me, and to answer every question I or my husband had. At one point I was really sick and couldn't make a deposition date; both Shane and Andrew were completely understanding and took care of rescheduling everything. When we were finally able to work out a new deposition date things could not have gone better as Andrew had done an amazing job preparing and Shane brought his "A game" as well. Shane and Andrew made me feel 100% comfortable and confident going into that deposition. I actually felt fully prepared with all the information they had gone over with me, and completely at ease knowing Shane and Andrew were there to help me if I needed them to. Shane not only helped me leading up to and during the deposition (which I was nervous about) but did tremendous work during every step of this case. He was even able to negotiate down one of my outstanding medical bills by $12,000 once he discovered they hadn't filed with my insurance (thinking they could get more money from a settlement); getting the bill lowered was paramount to getting the insurance company to settle, which they agreed to shortly after. Once the settlement was reached (which was five times the amount the insurance agency had offered me before Shane got involved) Shane was quick to get us our check as quickly as possible, and made sure all of my crash-related bills were settled for me. I didn't have to worry about making sure everyone with their hands out got paid, because Shane handled it. When we picked up our check Shane made sure we had copies of letters showing all our bills had been settled. The Sears firm made everything that could have been scary and complicated as straightforward and stress free as possible. Working with Shane and Andrew meant knowing there were people really looking out for me and my best interests; it meant having a true advocate in a situation where I'd had none for two years. If we EVER need a lawyer again my husband and I will be going straight back to Shane T. Sears, and if ever (God forbid) a loved one gets into a car accident or requires a lawyer for any reason I will be recommending they head straight to the Law Offices of Sears & Sears, P.C. and talk to Shane!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
