Mr. Sears is very knowledgeable about Special Education and what schools should be providing their students. As someone who is a well versed parent of a child with special needs, I felt that I was still not getting what my child needed in school. I struggled to get the school to understand and work w...ith my child that I became so frustrated and my child was suffering daily. I contacted Mr. Sears for help to see if there was anything he can do. He helped me navigate the whole process beginning to end until everything my child needed was provided by the school. He continued to provide follow ups and updates from the school and did not stop until her needs were met. Our family had multiple issues with our son's IEP when when he mainstreamed to Kindergarten. We were seeking FAPE with appropriate services and service providers. Shane Sears allowed our deaf child that utilizes cochlear implants and LSL as communication mode to start Kindergarten without issue on da...y one of school. All equipment (RMHAT) all set up and ready to go with all staff trained prior to his arrival. Appropriate services are now provided as well at school.
