I came to Travis Walker desperate, frightened and helpless. I had no money so he pretended to be my savior by taking me on as a client anyway. He knew my ex-husband made good money so he kept encouraging me to file subpoenas and motions that ultimately accomplished nothing. After running up a $70K...+ bill he dropped me out of nowhere leaving me alone and exposed at the most crucial stage of my trial. I have had an active surgical practice in South Fl. for close to 25 years. I mention this because any physician will understand that lawsuits are "part of doing business" in South Florida. (I was told that by my first lawyer,about 22 years ago,and sadly,he was "prophetic").The most "gut-wrenching" ca...ses are malpractice accusations.Fortunately,I have experienced that "trauma"less than once every ten years! Unfortunately,there are disagreements within partnerships;State Board "reviews",stemming from ANONYMOUS complaints;personal tragedies such as divorce;"Expert Witness" testimonies,etc..The point here is the remarkable amount of interactions with the legal profession, that we all encounter during our lives. I have been quite fortunate throughout my career,in that the great majority of my lawyers did a good job in "representing" me. Despite my never "losing",(exception would be my divorce "settlement"), I always felt my representatives treated me as a paycheck,and an annoyance.There were two exceptions to this and Mr.Walker clearly made me feel as though "my case" was the most important case on his "docket",(?). Most impressive was his obvious concern to keep me informed,at least weekly,as to the plan,case law,and options I had.What set him so far above other experiences,however,was his "billing".He was EXTREMELY FAIR and "above board",NOT charging me the way I had come to expect! He actually had "casual conversations" with me,INVOLVING THE LAW,but he never "nickeled and dimed" me ! I think the best way I can describe my experience with Mr.Walker is that,aside from being a good lawyer,knowledgable and "approachable",is that he is a REALLY GOOD GUY,and I feel fortunate to have had him as my lawyer.
