Biography
Heather is a practicing attorney for Saint Lucie, Martin, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. She practices estate planning (wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills, and designations of a healthcare surrogate) as well as veterans benefits planning and Medicaid planning. Heather is certified by the Veterans Administration to assist with filing applications for V.A. pension benefits.
Before starting her own practice, Heather served the people of Florida in government for nearly a decade as an Appellate Staff Attorney and Assistant County Attorney. is Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law, meaning that the Florida Bar recognizes her as a "legal expert." She advises clients in regulatory, land use and development issues. Heather serves as Special Master for Contractor Licensing for Citrus County. Additionally, she advises businesses of all sizes and individuals on numeorus legal matters including human resources, trusts, and estates.
To give back to her community, Heather volunteers her time reading to the blind through the Radio Reading Service program at Indian River State College radio station WQCS 88.9, NPR for the Treasure Coast. She also contributes her time and professional experience as a judge at high school debate tournaments. Heather believes in providing clients with expertise, dedication and honesty. As a result, she is a past Chair of the Nineteenth Circuit Florida Bar Grievance Committee: which investigates complaints against attorneys.
Heather is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
