Ed Galate robbed me. Charged me an upside amount of money, got me nowhere, never submitted crucial evidence to prove certain claims disregarded everything that I said every step of the way. I would send an emails. He would charge me to remove the files from the emails yet never submitted one piece of... evidence if you enjoy wasting money, then hire him if not look elsewhere. I would not recommend this attorney. He initially handled my divorce for $1000.00 and did a great job. My ex-husband re-opened the case with false accusations and I again retained Mr .Galante's services to handle the matter. I was required to pay a retainer of $3250, which seemed reasonable because ...we thought we were going to trial. We ended up settling in an hour-long mediation. After the mediation I asked Mr. Galante about a refund and he stated a check would be mailed. A month went by and I got nothing. I emailed and called again. Again was told a check would be mailed, and nothing. Another month went by and I finally sent an email saying I was going to stop by the office to pick up a check. I then received an email from his secretary stating that there was no refund due and all of the $3250 had been used. In all this time I did not receive one bill, ledger, or anything. I am taking the matter to the Florida Bar for a thorough investigation.
