Greetings, I filled a workers comp claim (heart & lung bill) after being put off of work due medical reasons my claim was denied and the reason given is that my injury was not work related. I have at least 30 years in law enforcement and during my pre-employment medical screening I did not have an...y medical issues. I was referred to the Kelley Law Group by my union to consult with for advice and possible ssistance. The experience was amazing, professional, and diligent. I experience a commitment of dedication to have overturned the denial of my claim and in addition secure monetary benefits going forward. First what I did right; I filed a W/C claim when I experienced chest pains back in 2009. W/C accepted responsibility and paid for numerous procedures over the next seven years, what they didn't do is settle my impairment. Paul Kelley came to Broward County PBA and conducted a seminar on Employee ...Rights with Workers Compensation. The wealth of information I learned at the Seminar made me realized that I was not being treated properly with regards to my claim. After the seminar I was able to speak one on one with Paul and decided that I really needed representation. I felt like my case just went from inactive to active and W/C now had to answer for there failures. To keep it short, Paul Kelley handled every aspect of my case, and last week we settled for a rather surprising amount, which was about 20 times more than the original offer. Two years ago, the Dade County PBA referred me to Mr. Paul Kelley to help me deal with Heart and Lung Bill issues I was having. This review is what my experience has been with Paul Kelley and his staff (especially Barbara) at the Kelley Law Group has been. The Kelley Law Group has been amazing ...in making sure that the benefits the Dade County/Florida PBA fought to get first responders were paid. At every hiccup, they were and continue to be there for me. They were instrumental in getting procedures approved that were originally denied and benefits paid that were originally denied. Mr. Kelley and his staff's knowledge of the Heart and Lung Bill and worker's compensation laws are impressive. As a recent example and something that might be of interest to fellow first responders, I developed complications from treatment for my covered worker's comp/heart and lung bill related injuries. A routine dentist visit revealed significant decay and the dentist indicated that it was related to the use of a CPAP and hypertension medicines. The Employee/Carriers first response to was to deny those benefits. However, The Kelley Law Group was able to secure those benefits for me and I am now able to get my dental work covered under worker's comp. I can't even describe the relief that this is to me.

Paul represented me in a W/C case that was ongoing through my employer for more than 14 years until I medically had to retire. He was an aggressive advocate for his clients to get either ongoing care that you desire or settle your case and explain your options and "Realistic " expections as well as c...lear explanations of how your decision will affect you from that point forward.
