Kris Parker is a former Florida prosecutor in the Sixth Circuit (Pinellas & Pasco) and is now an experienced criminal defense attorney representing clients in all areas including DUI, battery, drug charges, theft, fraud, sex cases, violation of probation, weapons charges, record expungement and sealing. He is a fierce advocate of his clients' rights.
Kris became a member of the Florida Bar in 2008 and is a graduate of Marshall University and Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was member of its award-winning moot court team. After graduation, Kris worked as a staff attorney for the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and assisted domestic violence victims in securing domestic violence injunctions and stalking injunctions.
In 2009, Kris was hired as an Assistant State Attorney with Florida's Sixth Judicial Circuit which is located in the Clearwater/Saint Petersburg area. As a state prosecutor, Kris tried 42 criminal jury trials, hundreds of evidentiary motions, and a handful of appeals. Kris prosecuted cases in a number of felony and misdemeanors areas including, but not limited to: DUI, domestic violence, sex crimes, fraud, drug possession and drug trafficking, theft crimes, weapons charges, consumer protection cases, and obstruction.
After leaving the State Attorney's Office, Kris relocated to the metro Washington, DC area where he was hired as corporate counsel for a large information technology firm. He was admitted to practice in Virginia as corporate counsel and managed all of the companies outside litigation, drafted contracts with partners and clients, and handled all areas of government compliance.
In addition to his legal practice, Kris also has many years of experience in political campaigning. He has been hired and served on multiple presidential campaigns in Florida and has managed various local campaigns in Florida and West Virginia. Kris served as Student Body President at Marshall University and has even published a book titled “Campus Campaigns; Winning Student Political Office” which can be found on Amazon and Barnes & Noble's websites.
When not practicing law, Kris is very active in the community. He is a small business owner, President of the Clearwater Bar Foundation, President of the Marshall University Alumni Associaion in Tampa Bay, and a former High School Football Official in Pinellas/Pasco counties. Kris is married to Raquel Parker and they have two young boys, Franklin and Caleb.
