When my ex husband and I decided to divorce, I contacted Mr. Schipani, he was able to consult with me the very next day. Mr. Schipani was very professional and explained things to help me understand the process. After hiring Mr. Schipani the process moved very quickly. He kept in communication with m...e and ensured me throughout the entire process that the things my ex was threatening to take from me (car, house, kids) would not happen, or at least would not happen the way my ex (who's in law enforcement) was saying they would. All because of the way Mr. Schipani handled mediation, I was able to keep my car, the house, and majority custody of the children. I appreciate all of the time and effort Mr. Schipani put into my case and eased my emotional pain by communicating with me through the entire process.

I have to agree with Stay Away. Mr S is definitely the most non-aggressive attorney to represent you. He even itemized on his billing that it was for "attendance in court" - definitely not representation at all. I honestly believe he didn't even read the documents prior to court. And yes, he was alwa...ys late. He even failed to register with the court and we showed up for a court date that was cancelled, but because they didn't know who the lawyer was we wasted hours waiting. He gave inaccurate information to the judge and we had to speak up and correct it. The final blow was after we ended up paying retroactive daycare expenses for the months WE had taken care of the child and she wasn't even enrolled in daycare, Mr. Schipani's reply was "Well, he should never have had a child with her (the wife) in the first place." Oh yes, and he failed to record all checks that we gave him. Make sure you pay with a credit card that will help you get back your money if need be. And always ask for an itemized bill. Ask a month later and the bill will have changed - different services, different fees.

VERY UNHAPPY with his representation. $4k down the drain. He is the most NON agressive attorney I have ever come across. He didn't fight for me in court at all, or dispute any of the lies the other side told. He never made me feel at ease or discussed his "plan of action" with me. He came with such h...igh reviews here, and I really don't know how that could be. He represented me in a family law case as well as a criminal case. In the criminal case he never let me look at any of the evidence the state had against me or listen to the 911 tape, and he was late to our meetings before court every single time. I have since found another attorney for my family law case, and she is amazing.
