I hired Michelle to represent me in a dispute with the on-site property manager and out of state owner of an off-season beach rental located just off Casey Key in Nokomis, FL. Michelle diligently worked to mediate a solution to the dispute in less than 48 hours and in the process helped to avoid cos...

I have never had any need to hire a lawyer before my car accident, but I was overall pleased with my experience with Ms. Stephan. She was always very professional, punctual and was overall very knowledgeable. I would recommend her and would go back to her for future legal services.

Michelle has been my attorney in 5 cases. We went to trial on one. She is the best! She has the best work ethic, knowledge and integrity. I deal with attorneys frequently in my profession and am please to have met her and work with her.
"Michele is an excellent attorney and works very hard for her clients. She is caring, diligent, and extremely well prepared. You can trust Michele to give excellent advice and successful represent you."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. Michele is friendly, personable, and pleasant to deal with as an opposing counsel (which is a rarity in our field). She handles herself professionally. Her case file appeared to be well-organized at mediation. It seemed that she was already prepared to go to trial at that point given the level of organization and preparation that I saw. Ultimately, we were able to get the case settled in a fair and cost-effective manner for both of our clients. In short, I highly recommend this attorney."
"Michele is a wonderful Attorney to work with and possesses a caring way about herself which puts her clients at ease during a very traumatic and difficult time. She is very knowledgeable and I often seek her advise on legal matters. I have and would definitely recommend Ms. Stephan as an attorney to friends and family."

Suspension issued in FL, 2012
updated on 08/28/2016Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.
“Administrative violation for improperly paying a non-licensed attorney employee. Ms. Stephan employed a gentleman with a J.D. degree as a case manager after assuming her partner's law practice after his unexpected death. Inadvertently, she violated a Florida Bar Rule which provided for the manner in which the case manager could be compensated. Ms. Stephan cooperated fully with the Bar when advised of the violation.”
