Biography
My experience with real estate and title started while in law school in Lansing, Michigan. In my second and third years I worked for a title company in Petoskey, Michigan performing title searches within a several county area. At that time, long before everyone so heavily relied on computers, title searches were performed by hand. In order to do a proper title search, I had to drive to the county where the property was located, find the recorders office, and search through liber books - no computers were involved. Liber books are basically very large property history books, and by "very large" I mean the size of a small desk. Needless to say, times have changed and all the research is now done on computers.
Being involved in all aspects real estate for over twenty years, including buying and selling my own investment properties, has given me a unique perspective on the helping clients with all their real estate needs.
