Kelly Lynn Fayer

Prepared an Irrevocable Trust and slid in a Document that names herself as the Trust Protector without explaining that going forward, that only her as the Trust Protector is the only one that can make changes to the Trust, thus locking in any future work. When the time came to make some simple change...s, her fee estimate was over the top for the minimal work that would have taken a legal assistant 2 hours max. Requested she name another attorney as the Trust Protector. First stated that she did not retain a copy of our Trust and that I would therefore have to deliver her the original Trust for her to review and name the other attorney as the Trust Protector, which I did immediately. This request is a simple stroke of the pen procedure. Multiple emails and phone calls to Fayer's office can not get her to do this. Now the other attorney that I've hired to do the work wants to know what the hang up is. Considering a complaint to the Florida Bar at this point.

I hired Kelly to defend me in a custody case. Every time we had any type of communication it seemed as though she forgot everything we had spoke of previously. Then it became extremely difficult to get a hold of her or even a response from her office. Emails and phone calls left without responses. Th...e case dragged on for almost 2 years. Every time I called her office no one had a clue what was going on with my case. The receptionist answering the phone had a very bad attitude and was often rude. It amazes me at how there is zero accountability and yet she is still in business. Do yourself a favor and find a different attorney.
