Jason Rios

Enriched with a multi-cultural upbringing and a passion for justice, Jason Rios began his life-long journey to become an attorney by enrolling at the University of Florida to study the human mind as well as human behavior. After graduating with a Major in Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Science, Attorney Rios attended Florida Coastal School of Law and was subsequently admitted to the Florida Bar. Understanding the importance of defending and fighting for those that may not have the resources available to fight for themselves, Attorney Rios became an Assistant Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit of Florida. As an Assistant Public Defender, Attorney Rios used his legal expertise and life experiences to not only help and guide his clients legally, but to also counsel them going forward. Attorney Rios was well equipped with what was necessary to unravel the difficult situations that his clients may have been in and when called to action, Attorney Rios stood firm in fighting for his clients. In his time at the Public Defender’s office, Attorney Rios was involved in numerous hearings, bench trials, and conducted 18 jury trials that dealt in a range of cases which included domestic violence, petit theft, resisting an officer, and sexual battery to name a few. Attorney Rios also represented clients with violations of probation, juvenile offenses, domestic relation cases, municipal and county ordinance violations and he specializes in DUI’s and drug possession cases. Attorney Rios is bi-lingual being able to speak both English and Spanish. Moreover, he understands the many different walks of life that his clients may come from. Since the age of 14, Attorney Rios has worked in a wide variety of fields with over a dozen different jobs on his path to become an attorney such as in the hospitality industry, life and health insurance, security and asset protection.
