A. Cody Emerson

Attorney Cody Emerson is a Partner at Emerson & Valentine, P.A. The primary focus of our practice is family law, however, we also practice landlord and tenant law, contract negotiation and drafting, general civil litigation, and personal injury. Cody graduated from Florida State University with two bachelors degrees; one in Real Estate and another in Finance. He then attended Florida State University’s College of Law. While in school, Cody volunteered with the FSU Public Interest Law Center, representing indigent clients attempting to navigate their way through the rigors of the family law legal system.

Attorney Emerson opened his own firm in January 2014 and in July 2017, he merged with Robert M. Valentine to create Emerson & Valentine, P.A. Since that time, he has assisted close to a thousand clients in cases of divorce, alimony, paternity, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, adoptions, landlord and tenant issues, and many other legal matters. Attorney Emerson has tried numerous cases all the way through trial, dealing with various motion hearings, depositions and mediations along the way. In other cases, he was successful in negotiating a settlement prior to trial, keeping the cost for his clients to an absolute minimum.
