Biography
Managing Partner and Founder of Palma Law Group, P.A., Jonathan M. Palma received his Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Finance from the University of Florida, and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center. Mr. Palma is an experienced litigation attorney who has focused his legal career towards representing and protecting the rights of individuals.
In the practice area of Personal Injury attorney Mr. Palma has represented individuals involved in automobile accidents, motorcycle accidents, slip and fall accidents, injuries involving premise liability, injuries resulting in traumatic brain injury and wrongful death. In 2012 Mr. Palma was part of a legal team which successfully procured a multi-million dollar award for a young woman who had suffered an extensive brain injury in a motor vehicle accident in which the at fault driver’s insurance company originally fought and denied all liability for the accident. In 2013 Mr. Palma brought a successful wrongful death claim against the City of St. Petersburg after an on-duty police officer ran over and killed a pedestrian while operating his patrol car.
In addition to Mr. Palma litigation practice, he is a licensed title agent, who has successfully negotiated over 500 short sale contracts, and is a member of the Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund. Mr. Palma is a member of the Florida Bar, the prestigious Florida Justice Association, the American Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the Clearwater Bar Association, St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Hillsborough Bar Association. Mr. Palma is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Florida and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Palma is also voluteered his services to the Hillsborough Bar Lawyer Referral Service and has regularly appeared on the Tampa Bay Fox 13 Ask a Lawyer television program to give legal insight and advice on topics involving personal injury, real estate, foreclosure defense, criminal defense and title insurance.
