About Christopher

Learn Christopher’s areas of practice.

I graduated with honors from Indiana University School of Law in 1987. I immediately moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and began my law practice. I have been awarded the highest rating that an attorney can receive in both legal ability and ethics from Martindale Hubbell, which is the premier attorney rating firm. It is called the A V rating. It took many years of practicing law to achieve that rating and I am extremely proud of it. Before becoming a lawyer I worked as a pharmacist for nine years. I graduated from Butler University’s College Pharmacy, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Representing the disabled requires reading and analyzing medical records, interpreting the results of lab tests, and understanding the effects medicines can have on a person’s ability to work. My training as a pharmacist has, therefore, helped me immensely in my day-to-day representation of my clients.

Good Lawyer/Good Guy
I hired Chris to work on my disability claim and I found working with him to be an extremely pleasant affair. He’s an honest man and remained optimistic when I found it hard to do so. I was denied numerous times and Chris always filed appeal after appeal. He never gave up and I’m so glad he didn’t. It turned out his optimism was well founded- we won. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Christopher B Young the only SSA attorney to call in Pinellas, just one call!
I would like for those who have been denied Medicaid not once, but twice for absolutely no good reason, (that's the bureaucratic game take it from me) to know I had cancer that spread & could have killed me and denied twice, but after first speaking with Christopher on the phone, I knew I'd hire him. I consulted with the first SSA lawyer in person & right away, no. A second on the phone, again right away no. These two not the people to handle this important matter for me! 3rd time the charm because Christopher was a YES; he is listening to you right off the bat and taking his time, he is sincere. He won't waste your time if you don't have a case. This man has better things to do with yours or his time than waste it, he's AV rated for a reason. He has been a pharmacist, knows about drugs & their affect on the body for those who are sick and battling an illness. Also he is left-handed and in my experience a bit of a superpower, a smarter mind and step above the rest. I felt at ease and relaxed knowing my case in good hands, not concerned if he was staying on top of things. Our communication back & forth was stellar, his staff friendly and helpful! You only get one life that you are fighting for and it is all yours! One call to Christopher Young on 5th Ave N in St Petersburg; don't waste a minute with another SSA lawyer, this is the attorney to represent your case!

Excellent Attorney
Christopher Brent Young handled my Social Security case. He drove to my home and took the time to answer all of my questions and explain every step of the process. He always kept me informed and always made himself available. Christopher was courteous, professional and very thorough. I am convinced his services was a factor in having my disability claim approved. I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs any assistance with their disability claim. If I could, I would give Christopher more that five stars, I definitely would.

I hired Chris Young by way of a friend, I needed a lawyer that would go to bat for me and hold my hand through the entire process. Being ill and having to go through such a long process is not easy. Chris was always in communication with me as well as always called me and updated me about my case. Chris made this long process go very smoothly and eased my anxiety as well as my mind. My case was found fully favorable and I can now move on with somewhat of a life. If you are looking for the best SSDI or WC Attorney Mr. Young is your guy. I will forever be grateful for his professionalism and his firm for the all they did for me. I can't say enough about him or his staff. They truly stand up to what they fight for. I highly recommend them to anyone in or out of the area.

I hired Christopher Young to handle my SSDI case, after having been referred to him by a friend. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Mr. Young and his staff kept me informed every step of the way, returned my calls promptly, answered all my questions, explained everything clearly, and were extremely professional, patient, compassionate and meticulous with details. Christopher Young helped me win my case more quickly than I had anticipated, and it literally saved my life. There aren't enough adjectives to describe how grateful I am to Mr. Young and his staff for how wonderfully they handled my case. They went above and beyond. Thank you!!

Incredible Lawyer
My mom had been on me for about 3 years to file for disability, yet had raised to to work for what I wanted in life. I was 2 months shy of my 50th birthday, when she was about to pass away. So, I filed the papers as a promise to her. Chris Young came highly recommended and I understand why. He was very honest from the first meeting all the way through the entire process. I happened to file during the time of the real estate bust which created a massive uptick in people filing for disability at the same time. Because I was past the point of being able to work, had no insurance and was grieving the loss of my mom. Chris made the entire process as easy on me as possible. Because he has been doing this in Pinellas County for so many years, he has a plethora of professional contacts with doctors in this area. Him and his wonderful staff assisted me in finding places that would work on a contingency basis so that I could get most of the medical tests I needed. Because of the timing, it did take quite a while to get on the court docket (no fault of his), but he kept me updated each step of the way. He knew exactly what tests and questions I would need doctors to answer in order to have a successful outcome. I not only have had several back surgeries, I have an exotic disease that very little is known about. Chris and his staff were patient when my doctor was slow on getting paperwork to him. In fact, the last of the necessary papers actually got faxed the morning of the court date! We were in with the judge for less than 10 minutes and I was granted disability on my very first attempt. I honestly feel that this is solely due to Chris knowing precisely what the court would need in order for this to happen. I believe having the personal touch, as opposed to having one of those 1-800 lawyers made all the difference. I can say this with certainty because friends I know went the other route and were contually denied, long after I was already receiving my checks. Eventually, some of my friends got smart and ended up hiring Chris too. I am happy that I came across this site because, although I highly recommended him to friends on Facebook, this way I can reach people I do not know. It gives me a public forum to thank Chris Young and his staff, and hopefully help others in need of a solid, honest and helpful lawyer.

Chris took my case from the very start.I contacted other lawyers and they wanted me to contact them if my benefits were denied after the first application.Chris knows every step of the social security application process, and he takes the time to explain the lengthy process. He will only get paid if he wins your case.Chris fought for me and did win.I feel he was worth every dollar he got paid.I probably could not have presented my case as well as he did.I recommend Chris only if you want to win your benefits.Chris was professional from start to finish. Thanks Chris!!
