About Nelson
Biography
Nelson Miguel Amorim Varajao believes in providing only the highest quality of legal representation.
Mr. Varajao earned the degree of Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law, which he attended as the John B. Stetson Merit Scholar. There, Mr. Varajao co-founded the EuroLex Legal Society, served on the Class Gift, Alumni Relations and Student Issues Committees, was twice elected as a legislative representative of the Student Bar Association, was selected as a student member of the Barney Masterson Inns of Court and earned an award for demonstrated understanding of Professional Responsibility. Mr. Varajao also earned a Masters degree with high honors in Consumer Protection and Business Law from the University of Granada, Faculty of Law in Spain. While in Spain, Mr. Varajao was invited by the University of Granada's Faculty of Law to speak at a conference on Comparative Contract Law. There, Mr. Varajao explained many differences between Spanish and American Contract Law and their implications on transactions, costs and consumers as well as their cultural derivation and social impact. Scholars in attendance later invited Mr. Varajao to contribute to their research. Mr. Varajao also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and a Leadership Certificate.
Mr. Varajao is a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honour Society, the Florida Bar Association, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, the Hernando County Bar Association and of the Citrus-Hernando chapter of the American Inns of Court.
Mr. Varajao benefits from a wide array of professional experience which includes Directorship of a corporation and Presidency of another, oversees negotiations with the Catholic Church involving historic property, marketing and oversight of millions of dollars in construction work, entrepreneurial endeavors, and business consulting. Prior to founding Varajao & Associates, Mr. Varajao also prepared a Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court as law clerk for an AV-Preeminent rated law firm and interned at a Spanish consumer protection agency and at a court of arbitration.

Mr. Varajao is licensed to practice Law in all Florida trial and appellate Courts, and in the United States Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Highly Professional Firm
