About David
Biography
David graduated the University of Central Florida as a Lead Scholar and graduated cum laude. He attended Stetson University College of Law where he was Vice President of the Student Bar Association, President of the Jewish Law Students Association, Chairman of the Go-Green Committee, served on the Stetson Scholarship Committee, and was a volunteer at All Children’s Hospital in the Emergency Center. David was selected to appear in Who’s Who Among American Universities and Colleges and was a recipient of the William Blews Pro Bono Award. David served as an Intern for United States Judge Magistrate Thomas Wilson of the Middle District of Florida.
After graduating law school, David worked for a national legal publisher, then spent 13 years at a boutique business litigation firm practicing business, real estate and bankruptcy law. He was honored as a rising star from 2017 - 2023 by Super Lawyers. In 2023, David was named a top lawyer in Tampa Bay Magazine in thr area of Leisure & Hospitality Law.
In 2024, David joined the largest Tampa Bay Business Law Firm, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick where he serves as general counsel to medium sized businesses and litigates business and real estate disputes.
David has tried jury and bench trials in state and federal court all over Florida and has litigated in Texas and California federal court. In 2022, David was lead counsel and prevailed in a 4 day Texas federal jury trial prevailing on all counts in a multimillion dollar claim.
