Attorney Craig Berman has been practicing law for more than 30 years. He founded our firm with a focus on employment law and today, we continue to represent plaintiffs struggling with a wide array of related issues.
Prior to founding Berman Law Firm, P.A., in 1998, Mr. Berman worked for corporate law firms representing both plaintiffs and defendants in employment litigation. During that time, he acquired extensive knowledge of employment and contract law and developed effective trial advocacy skills.
While enrolled in law school, Mr. Berman clerked for a plaintiff-only employment law firm and published a law review article in the South Carolina Law Review titled “Whistleblower Protection: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly,” 43 S.C.Law Rev. 215 (1992).
In the years since then, after founding Berman Law Firm, P.A., he has continued to be a strong force supporting the rights of plaintiffs in challenging cases. For example, we assist employees who are asked to accept weak severance contracts. At our firm, we are diligent to investigate the facts to determine whether a worker has been a target of discrimination or an innovator has experienced infringement of intellectual property (IP).
Understanding a plaintiff’s point of view is essential for effective litigation. In the process of uncovering details of our clients’ cases, we often find the keys to wins through pretrial negotiations or in court. Not all claims need to go to trial, but Mr. Berman is always ready to argue before a judge and jury if it is the most promising way to achieve justice for an employee or a business.

Would NOT Recommend for Employment Law Cases
If you’re thinking about hiring Craig to represent you in an employment case, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I hired him to handle a wrongful termination claim, and what I got was a lawyer who dragged his feet, ignored urgent deadlines, and ultimately bailed when the case demanded real effor...

No good
He represented my husband with employee issues and we lost because he didn’t present a good outline nor fight for him. We paid him a lot of money for nothing and after court was over he would not return our phone calls for follow up.
This review is false since my firm has gone to trial and won every case in the last year. I also do not charge "a lot of money" unless we win. I suspect this fake review is retaliation by a person affected by a victory I obtained at trial. I always present a "good outline" and fight for my clients. I also return calls promptly. Such vague and anonymous "complaints" should not be relied on. Call my office for a free consultation and judge for yourself whether I should be retained.

Horrible
Never consulted with me when going in for an offer with opposing counsel. Actually ended up siding with opposing counsel behind my back. Berman is sneaky and he's a liar. Does what he wants without communicating to his client. Never prepared me for a deposition, never kept me informed. He didn't d...

Poor Communications - Poor Service - Just a Poor Experience All The Way Around
Readers: After spending almost $1,500, my wife and I are very displeased. Mr. Berman said everything was going to go our way. Not only are we out the money we spent towards him, well, it did not go our way and we are out thousands more dollars than Mr. Berman said we would. The amount we paid out was...

Bad experience
Craig has represented me for over 2 years in a lawsuit regarding labor laws. I wouldn't recommend Craig as a good waiter or busboy, much less a lawyer. He is hands down one of the worst at communicating & following thru with his false words. "I'll call you back on that or email you tomorrow" he will ...
This "false" review is from a client who wanted me to violate my ethical duties to a group of clients of which he was one member. The review is retaliation for my refusal to violate my duty to the entire group.
"I endorse this lawyer highly. I worked with Craig on several sexual harassment cases including trial and appeal. He is an excellent trial lawyer. He prepares thoroughly and is a vigorous advocate for his clients. I do not hesitate to refer clients to him."
