Gabriela Riza

I would give it zero stars. You cannot communicate with her. She displays arrogant attitudes. They made a mistake in our applications, but they accepted one of them by chance and rejected the other without even processing it. We asked for our money back but she did nothing. We filed a complaint with ...the Florida Bar Association to seek our legal rights against her. I recommend you stay away. Her knowledge of immigration is very poor. I'm not even telling her not to contact you.

We just went through a case that took 3 years with Ms. Riza. During my case, I almost never saw her, spoke with her, or was given any information from her. I spoke to a revolving door of paralegals and assistants, she must have been having people quit on her constantly. She also changed her address 3... times in 3 years, how could she keep everything straight? Whenever we called in the team needed to talk to me for 15 minutes before they figured out anything about my case, as if I was calling for the first time. During the interactions we did have all I heard about was how amazing her big family was, and no strategy or anything like that for my case. After spending over $10,000 my case was declined, which was actually not that surprising based on the current climate in the United States. I was ready for this to happen, and even though I was not happy I was going to continue with Ms. Riza simply because I'd sunk so much into this already (including my heart and soul, I'm crying while writing this). When I told her I wanted to continue I was finally given the final straw. The lawyer that had taken over $10,000 in payments from me, took my case through the legal system, and ended up with an undesirable result said to me "If you want to appeal this case, you need to be treated as a new client and you will need a new consultation which will require a $150 fee." That was the most impersonal thing about all of this. After dragging my family through this case and ended up not winning she tried to nickel and dime me and get an extra $150 to appeal the case, while reminding me in no uncertain terms that I would have to pay for EVERYTHING again (no kidding!). If you care for your family, look elseware. Ms. Riza does not.

I was consulting with another atty. before a friends recommended Gabriela Riza and that atty said my case would most likely be denied. I took my friends advice and went to Mrs. Riza who explained what the process would be like, the time frame and the cost both hers and immigration. She mentioned sh...e has worked on many other cases similar to mine that were approved. She worked out a payment plan with me so it would be affordable for me, which was great. She had one of her assistant help me gather all the paperwork I needed and kept me posted regarding anything else I needed to provide for the application and when the office received any notification from immigration. She continues to keep me posted throughout the case so I know exactly what is happening and what to expect next. I'm very satisfied with the service her office has provided and always recommend her office to anyone I know needing legal help.
