Speed past Stoppa, don't stop.
One of the biggest mistakes that I made was calling Mark Stopa Law Firm. There is absolutely no communication from the firm. Staff never return your calls. I have never seem Mark Stopa's smiling face in person, and he has supposedly represented me for almost three years. Initially, you would think...

The best in the business
I had two homes in foreclosure and needed help. After finding Mark's blog via an internet search for foreclosure defense, I hired his firm to represent me. I was allowed to make three monthly installments same as cash to his firm and his costs were about half of others I had called. I had a free co...

Overall, I am very pleased.
I hired Mark Stopa's office a little more than three years ago in relation to my foreclosure case. Understandably, due to their fixed fee structure, his office only communicates when necessary. I hired Mark Stopa as soon as the lender filed for foreclosure (about a year after I stopped making p...

Never will I recommend him.
I will never recommend him to anybody again, he has failed me and 2 people I recommend. His staff tells you we are in the discovery period just to find out that now they are telling me is hard to win my case in my county. What a BS, I do not think he fights for his clients, it feels as if you are bot...

Mark is the best lawyer I've ever worked with
For good or bad over the years I have had my share of experience with attorneys, as I am sure most business people have. Most I've found arrogant, unreasonable and unresponsive to me. Mark and his staff, on the other hand, are amazing. Timely returned calls. Questions answered in direct plain spe...
"Mark's AVVO rating is a reflection of a questionable disciplinary proceeding. He has been a target of the judiciary because he speaks truth to power, but it has to be done. In fact, Mark Stopa may be the best foreclosure litigator in the entire state. I have seen him do some truly legendary things. I never hesitate referring possible clients to Mark because I know they will be in excellent hands."
"The AVVO rating score Stopa received is due to a formual used by AVVO that lowers ratings for any bar discipline. Stopa is a lawyer who pushes back. He called out a judge on the record when the jduge was sending and receiving tect messages in tghe middle of a foreclosure trial. At least one Judge pushed back against Stopa with a complaint to the bar. This rating does not reflect the hundreds of cases Stopa won by summary judgment or at trial. It does not reflect that he has won more foreclosure appeals for consumers than any lawyer in Florida...I would not hesitate to refer family member to him.. Stopa is a talented, exceedingly hardworking, and effective foreclosure defense lawyer with tenacity and guts. I have personally watched him argue complex foreclosure issues and have read his published orders. When I get calls from prospective clients with cases in Tampa, St. Pete, or Sarasota, (counties that I do not practice in), Stopa is one of three or four I regularly recommend."
"Mark is a strong advocate for homeowners facing foreclosure. Mark is not afraid of a challenge and has a strong presence in a courtroom. I endorse this lawyer."
"It doesn't get much better than Mark Stopa when it comes to litigation and appeals. He's smart, aggressive and he deeply cares about his clients and their cases. I highly recommend him."
"Mark Stopa is an exceptional attorney who fights hard for his clients. His knowledge of the mechanics of foreclosure defense and his passion for defending the rights of those facing foreclosure is unsurpassed."
"Mark is an excellent attorney who works hard representing people who are often facing their most challenging times. I am happy to refer clients to Mark and often give his information to my own clients when they need to deal with a difficult lender."
"Mark is an exceptional lawyer who fights hard for his clients and stands up for what he believes in. In these troubling times, you need a tough lawyer ready to fight for you....Mark is certainly someone you want on your side!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Aggressive and smart. I would recommend Mr. Stopa to my own friends and family."
