Terrible experience for our family
We heard of Mark from a raving review in the paper in 2006 and heard of his heroics of helping the “the little guy” stopping the bank from robbing people. Well.... we did what anyone who was in our situation would do we called him! We never even met with him we bet his paralegal. He never met with us...

Good thing I acted for myself!
My case was set for trial and I wasn't notified! After calling the bank to get a payoff figure to see if we could sell the house, the bank called me back to tell me trial was set. I ended up working with the bank myself to settle the matter. After the paperwork was signed, I finally heard from Sto...

Never returned my calls and acted against my best interest
I hired Mr Stoppa and after I paid the $4000, I could never get a hold of anyone and they never called me back. They did do work toward my foreclosre, but my situation was a little different than the norm so the work they did actually hurt my situation and since they never would call me back, I was n...

Never returned my call
Spoke with assistant paralegal who told me he would ask attorney Stofa to review my case and then would return my call. I never recieved a call back either way which I regard as unprofessional no matter whether you take my case or not.

Highly recommend Stopa Law
Stopa Law has represented me on ten cases. I am very pleased with their representation. Read his blog and be impressed. David Weintraub, a para-legal at the firm was always available to answer my questions. I recommend the Stopa Law firm for foreclosure defense.
"Mark's AVVO rating is a reflection of a questionable disciplinary proceeding. He has been a target of the judiciary because he speaks truth to power, but it has to be done. In fact, Mark Stopa may be the best foreclosure litigator in the entire state. I have seen him do some truly legendary things. I never hesitate referring possible clients to Mark because I know they will be in excellent hands."
"The AVVO rating score Stopa received is due to a formual used by AVVO that lowers ratings for any bar discipline. Stopa is a lawyer who pushes back. He called out a judge on the record when the jduge was sending and receiving tect messages in tghe middle of a foreclosure trial. At least one Judge pushed back against Stopa with a complaint to the bar. This rating does not reflect the hundreds of cases Stopa won by summary judgment or at trial. It does not reflect that he has won more foreclosure appeals for consumers than any lawyer in Florida...I would not hesitate to refer family member to him.. Stopa is a talented, exceedingly hardworking, and effective foreclosure defense lawyer with tenacity and guts. I have personally watched him argue complex foreclosure issues and have read his published orders. When I get calls from prospective clients with cases in Tampa, St. Pete, or Sarasota, (counties that I do not practice in), Stopa is one of three or four I regularly recommend."
"Mark is a strong advocate for homeowners facing foreclosure. Mark is not afraid of a challenge and has a strong presence in a courtroom. I endorse this lawyer."
"It doesn't get much better than Mark Stopa when it comes to litigation and appeals. He's smart, aggressive and he deeply cares about his clients and their cases. I highly recommend him."
"Mark Stopa is an exceptional attorney who fights hard for his clients. His knowledge of the mechanics of foreclosure defense and his passion for defending the rights of those facing foreclosure is unsurpassed."
"Mark is an excellent attorney who works hard representing people who are often facing their most challenging times. I am happy to refer clients to Mark and often give his information to my own clients when they need to deal with a difficult lender."
"Mark is an exceptional lawyer who fights hard for his clients and stands up for what he believes in. In these troubling times, you need a tough lawyer ready to fight for you....Mark is certainly someone you want on your side!"
"I endorse this lawyer. Aggressive and smart. I would recommend Mr. Stopa to my own friends and family."
