She sets the standard of what you should always receive in legal advice

You simply can't realize how RIGHT everything that Laurie does until you've been to a lawyer who's done it all wrong. I came to Laurie to assemble a new estate plan after a change in my life. By leaps and bounds, I was so impressed by her passion for what she does, and more especially, her command of... the subject matter in which she clearly demonstrates her expertise. I found out that the previous general practice lawyer who put together my older estate plan was a bona fide idiot, who gave me reams of incorrect advice. The detail in which Laurie delves in order to make sure you clearly understand what you're signing, as well as checking your grasp of the documents shows that she truly wants to make sure she's also educating her clients. She's an empowering person to have in my corner to guide me through important life decisions. I can't recommend her enough.

A trusted partner for out-of-state probate assistance

I am a New Yorker who was appointed executor in my sister's will... she was a Tampa resident. Needless to say, this responsibility was made even more difficult due to the distance involved. Knowing nothing about the Tampa area, I selected Ms. Ohall to assist with probate based upon a friend's recom...mendation... and I couldn't be more pleased. Ms. Ohall and her paralegal staff provided clear, timely communications, worked side-by-side with me throughout the entire process, and generally provided outstanding service at a very reasonable fee. This firm gets my highest personal recommendation.

Great Elder Law Attorney

I first had contact with Laurie Ohall in July 2015. My Mom was ill and in need of legal representation. Laurie understood the nature of her problem and mapped out a course to preserve her assets and to also obtain Medicaid to help with the expense of rehab and then Assisted Living. Her plan proved to... be flawless. Not only were her assets preserved but obtaining Medicaid for my Mom was successful. I personally had numerous questions and concerns that I expressed to Laurie. She always was ready to answer my questions and also to walk me through any concern I had for my Mom. Laurie is personable, professional and genuinely cares about her clients. I would recommend her to anyone looking to obtain peace of mind in dealing with Elder Care planning. Thank you Laurie Ohall for being there for our family.

Top-Notch Special Needs Attorney

Attorney Laurie Ohall works with families with special needs children. A relative of mine was in need of legal advice relating to his autistic daughter. I referred him to Attorney Ohall and she took the time to properly guide this family with their special needs trust and planning. She is truly a b...lessing to our family. Highly recommend this intelligent and caring attorney.

Admonishment issued in FL, 2005

updated on 03/10/2011

An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Laurie’s comment:

“I have never had a client complain about me to the Florida or Ohio Bar. This admonishment was due to brochure I sent to potential clients prior to 2005 that was inadvertently not submitted to the FL Bar for approval and which was missing the word "advertisement" on the inside of the brochure. I paid a fine for the failure to submit. The Florida Bar also felt that the brochure had language creating "unjustified expectations" for which I strongly disagreed.”
