  • Lizzette Adeli Muniz

Without knowing me, Laurie took my call and answered a specific question regarding a particular issue that I was researching for one of my clients. She was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and pleasant. I have already introduced her to a fellow colleague in her area, and will recommend her to anyone in need of estate planning advice.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.

  1. Admonishment
    issued in FL, 2005

An admonition means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The Bar gives the lawyer an admonition in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Laurie’s comment: “I have never had a client complain about me to the Florida or Ohio Bar. This admonishment was due to brochure I sent to potential clients prior to 2005 that was inadvertently not submitted to the FL Bar for approval and which was missing the word "advertisement" on the inside of the brochure. I paid a fine for the failure to submit. The Florida Bar also felt that the brochure had language creating "unjustified expectations" for which I strongly disagreed.”
