Mark Osherow is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Business Litigation. He also enjoys the honor of being a member of and former Chair of the Business Litigation Certification Committee of The Florida Bar. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers magazine for 2007 through 2020 as one of the top 5% of attorneys in has been recognized by Best Lawyers for seven straight years through 2020. Based on peer recongition alone, he has alos been awarded the designatio of Top Lawyer by Palm Beach Illustrated Magazine for 2019 and 2020. He was also recognized as a top "up and comer" by the South Florida Legal Guide for 2005 in the areas of Business Litigation and Products Liability. He was honored with the "Excellence in Writing Award" from the Florida Bar in 2004 for his article on the civil theft statute appearing in the Florida Bar Journal in March 2003. Mr. Osherow has repeatedly been listed in Super Lawyers, Corporate Counsel Edition, featuring Business Litigation attorneys from across the country. Mr. Osherow's prior boutique firm until 2009 firm was featured in ALM's In House Law Departments At The Leading Financial Services Companies 2007, as a "Go-To Law Firm" in the area of Employment Litigation.
Mr. Osherow received his undergraduate degree in 1985 from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a 1988 graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. He is a member of the Florida, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Bars, as well as all of the Florida federal courts, among others. He concentrate in both the state and federal courts in business litigation matters, employment litigation, products liability, medical negligence and other professional liability claims, insurance coverage and personal injury claims. In addition, Mr. Osherow served as a Director and is now an Officer of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association and is the Board liaison to the Technology Committee. He served two terms as a member of the Editorial Board of the Florida Bar Journal/News, and as as an attorney-member and then Chair of a Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee. Previously, he served two terms as a member of the Florida Bar's Standing Committee on the Unlicensed Practice of Law (UPL). Mr. Osherow is also an active member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. He also served as the Chair of the Annual Fund of the St. Andrews School for 2005 and 2006, and has been actively involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations. Mr. Osherow was recognized in November 2004 for service in the Report to Congress by The Trial Lawyers Care Pro Bono Project to Provide Legal Representation for Victims Before The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund of 2001, for which he represented three victim families as an attorney volunteer. He is also a Florida Qualified Arbitrator and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, since 2006.
