I had hired Joel Blumburg to collect a debt of $15900 from a client in 2010. He collected an initial fee of $2000 from me and deducted 17% of what the client agreed to pay in installments. Replied last March 20, 2014I'm not sure who "Bill" is, as I have no record of this matter from what has been presented. However, as with all collection matters, this was an uncollected debt when presented, and there is never a guarantee of recovery. Debtors file for bankruptcy protection, close their businesses, move out of state or take advantage of state exemptions. It appears that "Bill" obtained a positive recovery and the person responsible for him losing $8,900.00 is the DEBTOR. Not the lawyer hired to attempt the recovery.
