John Frederick Eversole III

John F. Eversole III  earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of West Florida. He graduated from the University of Florida, College of Law in 1983.

Mr. Eversole is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and has been since 1993.  He specializes in personal injury litigation, medical negligence, wrongful death, products liability, aviation, commercial litigation, and admiralty.

Mr. Eversole is also Board Certified in the field of aviation law and a former chairman of the Aviation Law Committee of the Florida Bar.  He was also a founding Member and Chairman of the Florida Bar Aviation Law Certification Committee which determines if attorneys meet the criteria for becoming Board Certified in Aviation.  Before entering the practice of law, Mr. Eversole was an Air Force officer and engineer. In the Air Force, he flew test flights in various aircraft, including F-15’s, F-16’s, and F-4’s.

As an attorney, Mr. Eversole has successfully handled a complex products liability case against an aircraft manufacturer in Australia, an aviation fatality case caused by air traffic controlling errors, as well as numerous domestic and international cases involving other aviation fatalities.

Mr. Eversole represented the family of a golf course designer, who was tragically killed in the aircraft, a Learjet 35A, in which golfer Payne Stewart was killed.  That complex case was filed in numerous courts throughout the country, and was settled successfully in three separate phases for the fine family of this gentleman who, at the time, worked for Jack Nicklaus.

In addition, he has represented families who have lost loved ones in tragic accidents including electrocutions, swimming pool accidents, vehicle crashworthiness, and other cases involving highly technical and specialized engineering fields.

Mr. Eversole also represents clients in the sale, purchase, and lease of aircraft, as well as litigating cases involving intellectual property law, contract law, family law, international law, and real property litigation.
