Biography
I earned my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut in 2002. I have been practicing law in Florida since November, 2002, initially at the Office of the Public Defender for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. Over the course of more than eight years, I represented clients in a wide variety of criminal cases, including felonies, misdemeanors, juvenile deliquency, criminal traffic offenses, and appeals. I have tried over 40 criminal jury trials, and spent three years as a Division Chief in felony criminal divisions. I also served for nearly two years as the County Court Resource Director, supervising and training new attorneys as they defended misdemeanor offenses such as DUI and domestic battery.
Before law school, I was employed as a spacecraft engineer working with NASA's RXTE science satellite. I graduated cum laude from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York in 1998, with a B.A. degree in Physics and Astronomy. I grew up and attended high school in Homer City, Pennsylvania.
In February 2011, I became a founding partner in the law firm of Marshall & Berry, P.A., where I represent clients in criminal and family law cases.
