Very fortunate I contacted Attorney Richard Asselta

I contacted Attorney Asselta when I was accused of academic misconduct by my University. He listened to the facts carefully, asked pointed questions, and noticed a fact pattern and existence of evidence that showed misconduct had not occurred from my actions. He advised on how to document and present... those facts in the hearing. He did all of this in a free consultation. The other parties in the case in question were found responsible, but I was not. I attribute that to Attorney Asseslta's advice. I highly recommend him.

BEST consultation, BEST advice, BEST LAWYER!

I was shaking in my core on how I was going to explain to Richard the issue I was dealing with. He first told me to take a deep breath, calm down and he would help me out to the utmost of his ability. After a gratefully given amount of time that he took to speak with me, we ended our conversation wit...h total comfort that I was not going to be alone if I needed his help. He gave me the best advice, explained in great detail how the system worked, and how I could appeal this incident if it was processed. So thankfully with his help, I responded to my issue correctly with my newly found confidence, and it worked itself out on it's own! I even called him and thanked him from the bottom of my heart for all of his time spent with me! I definitely recommend his service to anyone in need!

Ethical and informed attorney!

Mr. Asselta was extremely knowledgeable about the education rules in Florida and researched information regarding my local county before our consult. Facing expulsion

My intelligent high school student made a decision that devastated our whole family as well as affected graduation and higher education plans. I contacted Richard explaining that the school has imposed a 10-day suspension followed by a recommendation for expulsion. It was a week of emotional torment ...as graduation was fast approaching with no resolve. Richard was able to negotiate with school board officials in a way that no parent could have. The result was the ten-day suspension shortened, my child is in a new school, and the discipline violation reduced with no expulsion. Richard stayed in constant contact with us through the whole ordeal! Our family is extremely blessed with the resolution! Without reservation, I highly recommend Richard Asselta for all your Educational Attorney needs!

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
