Excellent Attorney for Education Issues
Richard Asselta is a very competent attorney. I was wrongly accused of cheating by a teacher and had no idea how to fight the charge. Richard was with me every step of the way, had excellent judgment as to how to present my case, and together we accomplished a "Not in Violation" outcome. Many thanks, Richard!

Simply Amazing!
If you were smart enough to find Richard Asselta, then you are smart enough to seek his assistance. Richard Asselta's assistance is beyond the limits of all of the exceptional reviews found here and his knowledge of education law is superior to any words that can be written in this or any other review as he is simply one of very best attorneys that we have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. Asselta actually answers your questions and never once did he try to avoid a question or provide a non responsive, vague answer. Amazing! Asselta suggested a legal strategy that still makes us smile. He is simply the most exceptional attorney that we have ever experienced, ever. After the priceless, initial consultation that he provides, you will understand that you too have an immediate duty to let others know about this wonderful person. It simply does not get any better than acquiring Richard Asselta to solve your legal issues. Thank you!

Mr. Asselta saved my future. You will want him fighting for you!
Contact Richard early. I was fortunate that he took my case at such short notice and that his schedule was free on the day of my hearing. I reached out to Mr. Asselta with only a week left before my student conduct hearing. I had been falsely accused of cheating on a university exam. I was fortunate that he agreed to take my case on such short notice. Mr. Asselta helped me compile all of my evidence, determine what documents were relevant to the charges, and drafted my introductory and closing statements in addition to my full personal statement which I presented to the conduct committee. Mr. Asselta also helped me prepare for any curveball 'gotcha' questions I could expect to be asked during the hearing. I already had my answers ready when they fired their questions at me! He helped me emphasize important inadequacies on my professor's side which ultimately destroyed their weak accusations and poked holes in their false arguments against me. Mr. Asselta helped me lay out a chronological timeline of events and helped me present a mountain of evidence (some of which I would not have thought about using on my own). He also helped me respond to emails from the student conduct faculty and constructed a rebuttal email for me when I was told that I couldn't use a crucial piece of evidence in my case (the decision ended up being reversed and I was allowed to use this piece of evidence after all thanks to Mr. Asselta's help!). Mr. Asselta helped me communicate to the committee just how bogus the claims against me were and exposed how clueless my professor really was and that their accusations were completely based on assumptions. My professor ended up looking completely ridiculous and failing miserably in their attempts to smear my good name. I was cleared of all charges and I got to preserve my spotless academic record. Just a bit of advice for anyone reading this who is falsely accused of cheating by their gormless professor- DO NOT let these people ruin your academic future. Take your case to a honor code hearing and contact Richard Asselta (the consultation was free) and get his thoughts on your situation before you move any further. Let him destroy their case against you piece by piece like he did for me. DO NOT let some smug university professor destroy your future without a fight. It must also be said that this man truly cares about his clients and never makes you feel like you're just a number. He spent many hours discussing my case with me over the phone and brainstorming ideas. He also responded to my emails in a timely manner and was available to work on my case even on the weekends. Mr. Asselta is a straight talker. He told me exactly what he thought about my chances of success based on his past experiences. Mr. Asselta also was very knowledgeable about the student conduct process at my school and was even familiar with some of the administrative staff at my university and how they operate. I felt so much more at ease knowing that I had someone who knew what he was talking about fighting my corner. Preserving my integrity was worth every single dime spent and I’d do it over again to protect my future.

Amazing effort, best possible outcome
Richard assisted me with my Academic Integrity Appeal at USF. He did a great job on the appeal and I ended up getting the best possible outcome I could've hoped for. He put in a lot of effort, even working on my case during the weekend. I appreciate him and think his services provide great value.

Exceptional Service, Exceptional Value
My consultation with Mr. Asselta was exceptional. In a difficult situation as a student, I sought Mr. Asselta's perspective and advice. He was both empathetic and realistic, not overpromising an unsure result or offering a long-shot solution in exchange for his fees. He offered a no-fee consultation and transparency about the cost-benefit of next steps. His advice on how to proceed has been invaluable to me and I highly recommend him. Honest, practical, results-driven.

Expert, Efficient, Reliable Lawyer! 10/10
I worked with Mr. Asselta for over seven months on a complex two-part case at the university level at a private institution: Appeal and Rehearing. I consulted and hired this great lawyer. From the beginning, Mr. Asselta provided me with a very in-depth consultation laying out my options, potential strategies, breakdown of possible events, and how to go about preparing myself. He was very insightful and, overall, extremely kind. He truly cared about my case even before I hired him. He made hiring easy. Mr. Asselta forwarded me his list of services for our engagement and how to pay. Once I delivered all of the necessary info, he instantly went to work and promptly prepared ALL of my documents and communications. We won this portion of my case. After we initiated the second portion of my case, he again prepared all of my presentation and communications and walked me through how to present myself. Mr. Asselta resonated with me throughout this process and helped walk me through my case. Mr. Asselta's logic and game plan were superb. I did not have to lift a finger. With his advice and expert-level services, I won my entire case. He got me out of a sticky situation that I should not have been in, and I can only thank him for that. 10/10 would recommend if you want to WIN!!

Very fortunate I contacted Attorney Richard Asselta
I contacted Attorney Asselta when I was accused of academic misconduct by my University. He listened to the facts carefully, asked pointed questions, and noticed a fact pattern and existence of evidence that showed misconduct had not occurred from my actions. He advised on how to document and present those facts in the hearing. He did all of this in a free consultation. The other parties in the case in question were found responsible, but I was not. I attribute that to Attorney Asseslta's advice. I highly recommend him.

Richard is all that the 5-star reviews say that he is.
I am not going to expound on Richard’s expertise as a lawyer because I’m giving him a 5-star rating, which in itself would already suggest that he is good at what he does. I would like to talk about Richard as a person... Do you ever wonder why Richard has all 5-star reviews? Human relationship/connection is what our hearts’ value the most especially in times of trials, and Richard tabbed into that human connection seamlessly. He doesn’t need to work hard at connecting with you, but rather it is a part of his natural disposition. Richard makes you feel that you are valued and that your issues mattered to him by taking the time to listen to you and give advise without even mentioning about his fees; he treats you like a friend instead of a potential client; he makes you feel comfortable to approach him with your issues instead of that uneasy feeling often associated with lawyers. I strongly recommend Richard as an advocate for your educational needs because he cares about you as a person and truly wants the best for you. Richard, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you’ve done for my son!

BEST consultation, BEST advice, BEST LAWYER!
I was shaking in my core on how I was going to explain to Richard the issue I was dealing with. He first told me to take a deep breath, calm down and he would help me out to the utmost of his ability. After a gratefully given amount of time that he took to speak with me, we ended our conversation with total comfort that I was not going to be alone if I needed his help. He gave me the best advice, explained in great detail how the system worked, and how I could appeal this incident if it was processed. So thankfully with his help, I responded to my issue correctly with my newly found confidence, and it worked itself out on it's own! I even called him and thanked him from the bottom of my heart for all of his time spent with me! I definitely recommend his service to anyone in need!

Teacher
For almost two years I faced a serious allegation of teacher misconduct by my school district and the Florida Department of Education. As you could understand, I felt frustrated and desperate because of the consequences on my life, prestige as an educator and well-being. I thought my world was falling apart. Thanks to what I had read on previous reviews about education lawyers, I decided to call the office of Richard Asselta who was highly rated for his service. Let me tell you that this has been the wisest decision I have taken in my whole life. Since I contacted him, he became very interested in my case. I explained to him what had happened, which was a case of misinterpretation during the administration of the FSA tests. I also provided him with the documents that I had been given showing what they were accusing me of and he got down to work very expeditiously. From that moment on, he took my case and prepared my defense before my district and the state. He provided sound legal advice in face of each hurdle. Thanks to all his legal efforts and flawless work, I was finally exonerated without any action taken by any entity. He was always available and responded promptly to my questions and concerns. His professionalism and commitment were present every step of the way until the final and positive resolution of my case. I highly recommend him to anybody who may face a legal issue as a teacher or professor in any educational institution.

I AM EXCITED TO ADD A 5 STAR REVIEW TO THIS SIE!!
I spoke with this amazing attorney a few hours ago. That is how I can say that Mr. Asselta truly cares about people and truly cares about being the best attorney possible. Mr. Asselta listened to my situation, asked important questions to learn about my facts, provided realistic options (with pros and cons) and at the same time was polite and kind. Mr. Asselta obviously is well trained and experienced. He amazingly returned my telephone call in a very short time. Even though he provided a free (ask yourself how many attorneys provide free consultations??) consultation, at no time did Mr. Asselta rush our telephone conversation. It was the same feeling as talking with a truly caring friend. Unlike many attorneys who in some fashion hustle you to hire them, Mr. Asselta never said anything that even remotely sounded like a hustle. If you want an attorney who is smart, kind and passionate and who will really care about you and your case, then I, without any hesitation whatsoever, recommend that you immediately call Mr. Asselta. I know I am glad and grateful that I did!

HANDS DOWN - THE BEST EDUCATIONAL ATTORNEY AROUND!
Our son has a disciplinary action against him at a college in Florida. We reached out and spoke to MANY different attorneys but Mr. Asselta was the first and ONLY attorney I have ever dealt with in ANY area of expertise that wasn't just interested in charging me for the sake of charging me. And unlike every other attorney we spoke to on this matter, he was the only one not giving us false hope OR trying to scare us into hiring him. His singular objective was my son's well-being and future and giving us pragmatic, reasonable, objective advice - not making false promises or having us waste unnecessary time and money. He actually spent an incredible amount of his own personal time on a "weekend" reviewing documents, writing up notes and speaking with my wife and I in order to quickly assess the situation and give us his opinion. All this work just to make us feel better about whether we should even hire an attorney. We were panicked parents. After speaking with Mr. Asselta, we felt so much better. We CANNOT thank this man enough. Hire Mr. Asselta or his firm and you are in fantastic hands.

Great Attorney
I hired him to represent me in a state investigation after my principal created 2 bogus investigations on me. This was done to me because I was a whistle blower. I could no longer trust UTD since it seemed they were all friends. The state threw out both cases thanks to Richard and his brilliant retort. I highly recommend.

Richard is first class. Helped me thru a jam.
I am a teacher and a high school football coach. I received a letter from Professional Practices regarding a incident that happened during the season. I hired Richard and he was upfront and told me exactly how the process worked. He took it personally as if I was his old friend. He kept me updated and got the whole thing thrown out. I would not hesitate to reccomend Richard as an Attorney to anyone. He is AWESOME!
