If you're a teacher facing a misconduct complaint reach out to Richard Asselta ASAP!

At my Teacher Misconduct case consultation, Mr. Asselta took time to describe each step of the process in detail, answered my countless questions, and gave honest possible outcomes for my situation based on his representation of prior clients. His years of experience with the FLDOE Office of Profess...ional Practices were essential in getting the best possible outcome for my case. I highly recommend Richard Asselta to any teacher facing a misconduct case.

Mr. Asselta saved my future. You will want him fighting for you!

Contact Richard early. I was fortunate that he took my case at such short notice and that his schedule was free on the day of my hearing. I reached out to Mr. Asselta with only a week left before my student conduct hearing. I had been falsely accused of cheating on a university exam. I was fortunate ...that he agreed to take my case on such short notice. Mr. Asselta helped me compile all of my evidence, determine what documents were relevant to the charges, and drafted my introductory and closing statements in addition to my full personal statement which I presented to the conduct committee. Mr. Asselta also helped me prepare for any curveball 'gotcha' questions I could expect to be asked during the hearing. I already had my answers ready when they fired their questions at me! He helped me emphasize important inadequacies on my professor's side which ultimately destroyed their weak accusations and poked holes in their false arguments against me. Mr. Asselta helped me lay out a chronological timeline of events and helped me present a mountain of evidence (some of which I would not have thought about using on my own). He also helped me respond to emails from the student conduct faculty and constructed a rebuttal email for me when I was told that I couldn't use a crucial piece of evidence in my case (the decision ended up being reversed and I was allowed to use this piece of evidence after all thanks to Mr. Asselta's help!). Mr. Asselta helped me communicate to the committee just how bogus the claims against me were and exposed how clueless my professor really was and that their accusations were completely based on assumptions. My professor ended up looking completely ridiculous and failing miserably in their attempts to smear my good name. I was cleared of all charges and I got to preserve my spotless academic record. Just a bit of advice for anyone reading this who is falsely accused of cheating by their gormless professor- DO NOT let these people ruin your academic future. Take your case to a honor code hearing and contact Richard Asselta (the consultation was free) and get his thoughts on your situation before you move any further. Let him destroy their case against you piece by piece like he did for me. DO NOT let some smug university professor destroy your future without a fight. It must also be said that this man truly cares about his clients and never makes you feel like you're just a number. He spent many hours discussing my case with me over the phone and brainstorming ideas. He also responded to my emails in a timely manner and was available to work on my case even on the weekends. Mr. Asselta is a straight talker. He told me exactly what he thought about my chances of success based on his past experiences. Mr. Asselta also was very knowledgeable about the student conduct process at my school and was even familiar with some of the administrative staff at my university and how they operate. I felt so much more at ease knowing that I had someone who knew what he was talking about fighting my corner. Preserving my integrity was worth every single dime spent and I’d do it over again to protect my future.

Expert, Efficient, Reliable Lawyer! 10/10

I worked with Mr. Asselta for over seven months on a complex two-part case at the university level at a private institution: Appeal and Rehearing. I consulted and hired this great lawyer. From the beginning, Mr. Asselta provided me with a very in-depth consultation laying out my options, potentia...l strategies, breakdown of possible events, and how to go about preparing myself. He was very insightful and, overall, extremely kind. He truly cared about my case even before I hired him. He made hiring easy. Mr. Asselta forwarded me his list of services for our engagement and how to pay. Once I delivered all of the necessary info, he instantly went to work and promptly prepared ALL of my documents and communications. We won this portion of my case. After we initiated the second portion of my case, he again prepared all of my presentation and communications and walked me through how to present myself. Mr. Asselta resonated with me throughout this process and helped walk me through my case. Mr. Asselta's logic and game plan were superb. I did not have to lift a finger. With his advice and expert-level services, I won my entire case. He got me out of a sticky situation that I should not have been in, and I can only thank him for that. 10/10 would recommend if you want to WIN!!

  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
