An Embarrassment to the Profession

In my experience, this was one of the most deeply disturbing displays of professional conduct I have ever witnessed in family court. What I observed went far beyond aggressive advocacy. The repeated objectification of women, inappropriate sexual comments, and overall lack of courtroom decorum were... shocking - particularly in a family law setting where professionalism, emotional intelligence, and respect should be non-negotiable. Equally concerning was what appeared to be a persistent disregard for courtroom procedure and basic professional expectations. Scheduled return times, courtroom instructions, and procedural rules seemed to be treated casually, creating unnecessary disruption and undermining the seriousness of the proceedings. Most troubling, however, was what I perceived as a broader pattern of litigation conduct designed to intimidate, exhaust, and financially burden rather than seek fair resolution. Filings that, from my perspective, appeared unsupported, misleading, or factually inconsistent created unnecessary expense, stress, and delay. What was especially alarming was the apparent use of retained professionals and “experts” who, in my opinion, did not reflect the neutrality, ethical discipline, or impartiality one expects from individuals presented as objective professionals. Experts are supposed to assist the court through independent, ethical analysis - not function as strategic extensions of litigation gamesmanship. The overall pattern raised serious concerns for me about professional integrity and ethical boundaries. Perhaps most disturbing was the sense that the litigation appeared to function less as a pursuit of justice and more as a self-serving professional ecosystem - where prolonged conflict, excessive billing, and strategic escalation seemed to financially reward those involved while devastating the families caught in the process. Whether intentional or not, the appearance was one of a deeply troubling misalignment between client interests and the incentives driving the litigation. The impression left was not one of principled advocacy, but of a practice style driven by intimidation, spectacle, and profit at the expense of professionalism, truth, and fairness. Family court already places extraordinary emotional and financial strain on families. Attorneys and retained professionals should help bring clarity, integrity, and lawful advocacy - not deepen harm through conduct that diminishes confidence in the justice system. I left profoundly troubled by what I witnessed and with the belief that clients and courts alike deserve far better.

Highly contentious divorce

I was a stay at home mom with an infant when my ex-husband filed for divorce. My first attorney which I hired with borrowed money dropped my case after canceling my hearing for attorney's fees and financial relief( without my consent). At this time I was in the midst of a highly contentious divorce!... I called Chris's office & spoke with Mel,and she understood everything, but I was short $500 for the retainer (still on borrowed money) Then things got worse after I hired my 2nd attorney. Which I had doubts about but, had a hearing scheduled and was pressured for time/money. She did nothing, just talked the talk she didn't even so much get me the financial hearing I pleaded with her to get and after at least 7 months of desperation and being in a highly contentious divorce,) things spun even more out of control with her as my attorney. My ex-husband now on lawyer 3! I called Chris's office again, desperate, scared and distrustful of attorneys! I made the appointment for the consultation and went in there with my family by my side, we were all at our wits end to say the least.by now I sold my jewelry, personal belongings and owed everyone in my family money, my credit was ruined, car was voluntarily surrendered etc... I went through my convoluted divorce, and I knew talking to him he would be able to get me out of the mess I was in. I left his office with with a weight off my shoulders, I had also given all my documents, thousands of papers! First thing he did on my case was set up the hearing I had waited a year for, they went through everything with a fine tooth comb, and we had a successful hearing! Finally I had some justice my child and myself! He got everything squared away. So much so in fact My ex-husband fired his 3rd attorney immediately after that hearing and was on lawyer #4. I can't say enough good things about Chris and his highly competent team. I could only wish I found him first, if anyone says he's expensive not hiring him could cost you more, and not just financially. I will always recommend him, because I learned the hard way, the difference between a phenomenal lawyer and the the ones who just want blood money.

Terrible

I hired him as an attorney for my divorce. He inflamed such a hatred between my ex and I. After spending so much money he lost me the battle. While my divorce was going on, my friend also hired him and she's the only woman I know that lost the custody of her daughter to her ex husband because of this... guy.

Frustrating Divorce

Going through a divorce can be a very painful and emotional experience. I believe hiring the best attorney you can get is half the battle and this is why I hired Mr. Christopher Link. Not only do I think he is the best divorce attorney around, he has a very experienced and professional team that co...mpliments him and they worked diligently on my case. Mr. Link wastes no time getting things done. If something needs to get filed in the courts he is all over it. I always felt like things were under control and he was always out for my best interest and to protect me down the road in post divorce. Also, there is a lot of emotion and anxiety that goes through this process. It is normal. However, Mr. Link and his team was always there to check on me, talk with me, and never did they miss a phone call when I had a concern or felt troubled. No question was too small. Mr. Link and his team fended off attack after attack from my former spouse. He doesnt sit back and just wait for things to happen, he is proactive in the manner of how he handles things. I was always more then impressed and would never recommend anyone else. My case worked out very well...I feel I owe a lot to Mr. Link and if you happen to read my review don't hesitate to meet with him if you are looking for someone to represent you. Unlike most lawyers in this field he will not charge you and will give you his time to pre determine your case. I can thank him and the people he works with enough....

The Link

I love this guy. Basically just saved my family after an aggressive and unscrupulous lawyer tried to run up his fees by supporting a fraudulent restraining order against me filed by my ex. Chris Link got it thrown out. Expensive and worth it. If I could afford it, I would keep him on a retainer. Buil...t like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and hits like him in court. I honestly felt like he turned my case around in the first 15 minutes of the first hearing. I was representing myself (ex-lawyer) and the judge wouldn't listen. He listened to Chris Link.
