After the recent death of her husband, our daughter needed estate planning, especially to protect her young children. At the recommendation of a friend, we found David Hanley in Sunrise, FL, near Ft. Lauderdale. I have been a lawyer for over 40 years, although I do not practice estate planning. I... could not be more impressed with his work and demeanor. He is skilled, intelligent, and empathetic. He worked quickly, compassionately, and made her feel as comfortable as possible, considering the circumstances. She is not wealthy, but he treated her as if she is. I have no doubt he could handle high-wealth cases with ease. His fee was very affordable and he made it convenient for her. If you need estate planning (wills, trusts, living wills, powers of attorneys, designation of health care surrogates, etc.), at an affordable rate, I highly recommend him. Hanley, P.A. Before contacting Mr. Hanley, I was waiting for a return call from an attorney who practices... with one of South Florida’s largest law firms. I felt my situation was unique with some potential complications, and thought I needed a big-firm lawyer. While waiting for a call-back, I came across Mr. Hanley’s name and remembered him when he worked at a law firm in Fort Lauderdale, so I gave him a call. He answered all of my questions during the initial call, and we set up a time to meet in person. Whatever issues I had perceived to be complicated or unique, Mr. Hanley assured me could be addressed and dealt with and that I need not worry. I also advised Mr. Hanley that I would like to finalize everything as soon as possible, even though he had mentioned he had prior commitments. Well, somehow he was able to juggle his schedule to accommodate me, and the next communication I received contained drafts of my estate planning documents which, by the way, were letter perfect. I hope that anyone reading this realizes that estate planning is not only for the “senior” population…it’s for everyone. And there’s no need to contact an attorney from a big law firm. Mr. Hanley is highly experienced. Oh, and by the way, the attorney I originally contacted did finally get back to me, but it was after Mr. Hanley completed the work.

David took care of all our estate planning, including our wills. Being a same sex couple we had so many questions! Not only did he walk us through the entire process patiently, he really guided us in our decision making! He also put together all our documents very quickly. We were actually quite s...urprised who prompt he was. He also came to our house to sign all the papers. Very impressed by that as well. Highly, highly recommend David!
